I have a budget of 75USD base package, with the same again ($150 total) which is rewarded if the designer goes the extra mile, has good contact, etc. I need a designer who is experienced with professional looking websites (ie - not making things look too "graphicy" or looks like a child has gone crazy with effects on photoshop etc.) I am looking for a simple and light design, and this is what my ex-designer (HORRIFIC at contact so he was fired.. I mean.. didn't email me with WORDS, didn't take into account my feedback etc) (what he did is attached to this post) I personally think: - Too bland and boring - Too closed in looking (all the content is trapped inside the borders of the center part) - Just, not suited to the forum.. Dude, for $150, you should be happy with the designer you had before. Way too cheap, a pro designer would want atleast $500 for that!
I've had many good designs made on a budget, such as, or sometimes less than this. There are plenty of freelance designers that happily work for budgets like this - before their egos get too high and they start demanding this budget per hour.
