Recently my client send me payment through paypal. He sent me money in two parts on two different days. One trasanction was of small amount like 8$ approx and another was as big as 90$ approx on another day. After 4-5 days I got email that my first trasanction was cleared and I got my payment of 8$, and just after few minutes when I checked my paypal account I saw my second trasanction of 80$ was canceled. Why? How can paypal cancel one transaction and accept another transaction both from same person and same paypal account? I fully trust my client as he is more family member to me then client.He is my close relative. Moreover Paypal has not give that 80$ back to my client also. They are deducted from his bank account. I contacted them by email 3 times but there is no reply. And I cannot call them on ISD number. What should I do? Please help me.
Well, if the money is on hold you or the one who sent it will basically get it after sometime. Most probably the one who sent you will get it and then you can ask him to send again.
How do i know whether money is on hold or not? All it shows to me is status of transaction is canceled.
if it took that long to clear it was prob an echeck and if the echeck did not clear your customers bank account then that would be the reason
Just shoot an email to Paypal citing the transaction reference number and ask for the reason of cancellation. I am sure they will certainly provide you a good valid reason! Regards, RightMan
echeck payment takes 5-6 business days to be cleared but since it is showing canceled then this could be canceled either by paypal or by your friend. This way you will not receive the money and the transaction got canceled lastly. I doubt your friend might have canceled this transaction. Please confirm with him.
Thanks guys for reply, But i already confirmed with my friend and he said that he had not canceled payment. Moreover my all transactions from that person was canceled on expexted dates given by paypal. For example: 1) Transaction 1...Expected date to get clear 26th 2) Transaction 2...Expected date to get clear 28th 3) Transaction 3...Expected date to get clear 30th All transaction were from same person.Now what happen is, Transaction 1 was canceled on 26th, second on 28th and Third on 30th. So all were canceled on dates given by paypal, so I think it could be paypal's problem. I called paypal but they said it was canceled by my client or he would not have enough balance in bank. Don't know, my friend might be lying. Is there any trick to catch whether my friend is lying or saying correct. Because I even cannot blame my friend directly as we all know that paypal also had same type of complain many times.
In reply to my email Paypal support told me that only receiptent can cancel echeck. That means Me. So they told me I might have canceled it accidently. But I am sure, I have not done that. And as per them my friend cannot cancle unclear echeck. So what to do now?
echecks are the worse payment method in Paypal, I believe you got scammed by this "client" more than anything else
