As noted before, he is going to donate the money to Celiac Disease Research - I'm actually gearing up for this again with my halloween decorations and christmas lights webcams which have garnered a few dollars for Celiac - those are a bit more ... uhhhh ... family friendly! ;-) The classic Supersonics shaving bag eBay auction currently has 15,245 views and $87 top bid - LOL!
Holy smokes! That's great Alek - hopefully it'll get tons more traffic and some casino or something will sieze the opportunity to donate some cash for a good cause! Best of luck
That would be cool, although the charity aspect was an afterthought suggestion once the auction got cranking up there because it was never about making money - as noted on the auction, I just wanted to "Help a brother out!" - I talked to him this morning and his fiancee is not aware of how ... uhhh ... sucessful this auction has been ... would love to hear her reaction when she does - DOOPPPP!!!!! ;-)
Hopefully it will break the $100 by the end of the auction! You need to get you brother to add this link so that more folks will watch it and push it into the pulse. Other seasoned pulse entrants usually have a scantily clad female pic of some sort with the link to their auction. Possibly contact the Sonics to tell them of the auction?
I thought this was a good idea but then I was like...the B*** **B comment!! not so much still wouldn't hurt to try I guess
fans@sonics-storm.com appears to be the address to .... uhhhh ... let 'em know how valuable a classic 15-year old Seattle Supersonics shaving bag can be - thanks for suggestions.
After 15,726 views, the bidding for the 15-year old Seattle Supersonics Shaving Bag is tied at $100 - this is crazy! ;-)
He JUST updated the eBay listing that he has an (uhhh) "oral contract" with his fiancee (not wife yet) right now, but she gets back Thursday from a business trip and will get it in writing. BTW, he added a link to eBay Pulse per Halobitt's suggestion - can you guys try hitting the auction page and let me know if that works for you (I'm not an eBay'er, so I'm learning about all this stuff). The link is in the Sep-19-06 at 19:08:29 PDT update. UPDATE: My brother says there are 79 Watchers - is that a lot?[/b
OK - looks like it is #1 for eBay Pulse/Sports Mem, Cards, Fan > Fan Apparel & Souvineers and #6 for the parent category of that which is one step away from the top - LOL!
Damn!!! You surely can sell anything on eBay. $100 is amazing. With 3 days, 17 hours 19 minutes 58 seconds to go, I wonder how much would it fetch.
Congrats Hulkster on the pulse placing. Come on people, watch this in you eBay accounts. IN the spirit of Nintendo's myspace testing, let's test roughly how many watchers an item needs to get on the first page of the pulse. Testing and it's for a good cause.
I have been trying to win the darn thing all day lol I may have to wait a little while before I rebid....I really want the Supersonics bag!!!!! (Of course if he attempts to clean it, I may have to bow out) http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=270028959717 I think $600 may be my limit for today
