Hello. I have a news blog with plenty of traffic but I am not getting the clicks on any adsense or banner ads. I want to hire someone to make my articles That will target and best profit from the traffic that I am getting, (approx 700 to 1,000 per day) but I don't know what category or freelancer to ask for. I have several accounts with Elance but don't know how to go about hiring for this particular job. This would not be for SEO. I already have the traffic. I am also putting in keyword tags from the title of each article. Just what can I do to monetize it on a more targeted level. Is there anything more that I can do and just not seeing it right in front of me? Thanks for any feedback.
Thank you for the reply. I am not necessarily looking for just article writers, I have those, but someone who has mounds of experience in gearing articles towards adsense clicks and monetizing my site. Someone who is able to do things that will make my targeted visitors click on my adsense and banner links.
you need somebody to optimize your Adsense blocks positioning and looks (fonts/colors) what does it have to do with article writers?
I believe I have the proper placement and fonts for my ads and the article writing would mean probably nothing, unless I can find someone who actually specializes in writing articles and titles that will draw more targeted Adsense ads to the site pages. That is what I am looking for. Someone who has a long successful history in this specializing service.
If you provide your visitors with the answer they will not want to click on adsense. If you focus your articles on people only without seo you may loose the traffic you have.
In order for people to click on the adsense ads on your site, it will also depend on the type of niche you are in. For instance, a blog in the health niche will have a high adsense CTR because the visitor will need to visit many websites before making the final decision on the health issue. Also, it depends on the type of articles on your blog. If the articles give all the information required by the visitor, there may not be need to click any adsense ads. He has already got all the information needed. Sometimes, websites containing articles will partial information generate high adsense clicks because the visitor will be clicking the adsense ads in search for more information.
From what I have read so far.. I think you may looking at the problem in the wrong way.. instead of looking for more article writers, maybe you should be promoting your website more to the right users and potential customers like freeautoblogs mentioned. Anyway try several things and see what works.. Good luck!
idea- sell your traffic to others..dont even worry about monetizing it. You can get $1 cpm or more depending on the niche...
This is really great info folks. I thank you for your responses and will study all of the replies... Thanks again. EJ
I agree... Articles are informative and are meant to attract people to your site but they are not meant to convert. Anyone who promises that their articles convert is plain out lying. What you are looking for is optimization of your PPC blocks which in turn are very much NICHE related. That is definitely NOT up to you or your writers but rather the placement of the Ads, and of course the AD itself. Now, I am a little confused... you mean no one is clicking on the Adsense ads on YOUR site? OR no one is visiting your site through the Adsense ads you are purchasing? If it is the latter then I suggest you hire a good copywriter who can write KILLER one line ADS. After all that is what Adsense/PPC is all about.
Elance is alright but certainly not the best in my experience. I have full-time article writers in the Philippines that write much better articles than anyone I've asked on Elance. I find that in most cases carefully blending my adsense content ads works better than banners as well.
I'd spend the time on optimizing your Adsense blocks. Is Adsense pulling relevant ads? Have you thought about monetizing your site with affiliate offers? What demographic is visiting your site? What region do your visitors live in? There's lots to think about when it comes to optimizing your adverts. If you have the traffic, its going to be all about optimizing your ads. Test, test and test again until you get some clicks. Then, start it all over again with more optimization tests.
