    This is my first attempt at getting my website to the top of Google. What is this website doing (freenexusone.co.uk) doing to beat my website (myfreenexus.co.uk) to the top of Google?

    I see that your competitors(www.freenexusone.co.uk) have 3553 backlinks and you have only 650 backlinks. So you do the effective Offpage optimization work for qualtiy backlinks. Keep it up.

    It's got a lot more links, getting to the top of Google is all about links and how many you can get from unique domains.

    Thanks everyone, I have noticed that they have more links, but they aren't high in quality. So if I were to generate a few quality backlinks, would that put me above them?
