    Hello DP members,

I've been planning and jotting down notes on making my own "PAID" directory but would like to have someone, I can go to ask questions about building this directory of mines.

I already snag a GREAT domain name and my layout of my site is already drawn out (on paper). Purchased phpLD script...just need a "mentor" to turn to and ask some question here and there.

I would gladly apperciated anyone who's fimiliar with phpLD or have been running a couple directories themselves to be my "mentor".
(I won't be bothering you everyday, just whenever I'm stuck on something)

I your interested, here is my MSN contact

    Thanks for your time!

Goto the phpLDforums, not DP forums for phpLD related questions.

It's your best resource to get questions answered. Use the SEARCH feature often, and I'm willing to bet you find your solution a lot quicker and easier.

If you want the right info, no speculation, no BS, just original Q&A with the script, then I'd suggest you take my advice, because I don't see any experts roaming in this thread. Over at phpld you have the Devs.

.02 blunt and honest, and saving you the BS.

    Rob

p.s. - watch who you give your ftp and related info to. I just recently had a client go through complete and utter hell over this.

I would advise you starting out with a free directory first, not paid. You will learn a lot more this way as you get 50 submissions a day versus 2 a week...

possibly... but you could always start an always free directory.
You cna make money from a free directory.
Also, nobody is going to pay for links on a PR0 directory

Yes, i agree. you will not get too many people to pay if u start your directory as a paid one. Start as Free and Be free always. Keep working on it, by promoting and doing some good SEO works etc.. withing 6-9 months you will get lot of good things with your directory.

My .2 cents charge at least $0.50 you don’t make any money because of paypal fees but will save hours of editing work.
