$50 contest - Maid Service - Header-Logo, Plus small graphics

Hello everyone!

I'm building a website for a close friend of mine who has a cleaning service. I love working with the talented people on DP when I design sites b/c you always come up with such creative designs - I have never been disappointed.

What I need - a header plus four small, square graphics.

Prize - $50

Contest Ends: 48 hours, ends Tuesday, June 29 around 8pm eastern time.

Header - approx 787x195 - light pink and light green colors. I would like it to feature a maid character that is very similar in color and style to this one:



She can be slightly different, but generally similar - a maid with a vacuum.

Four square graphics - approx 200x200 - will be used throughout the site.

1. house - icon of a cute, picture-perfect house

2. pink mop girl - possibly the same girl as in the header

3. pink pig with a $ sign - will be used on "pricing page"

4. cute pink phone with rotary dial - for contact information

Please post header ideas in the thread and I'll pick a winner. If you win, you'll agree to do the square graphics too. Please post all entries in the thread for all to see.

All graphics should be drawn and cartoon-like. (Please no photographs or clip art from other sources.)

Looking for something friendly, original, and brandable.

I reserve the right to pick no winner if I don't loe what I see. And I reserve the right to end the contest early if I see an amazing design. I will try to provide feedback for all entries.

Winner wil be paid via paypal.

Thanks for the entries Fallenstar and Lilanchen! Contest is off to a good start! Feedback -

Fallenstar - Very nice header. I like the color scheme and the lettering is very cool. The character looks great - perhaps a smile on her face would be a nice addition. Also - perhaps some more graphical element(s) on the right for the sake of balance would be cool, if possible. Look good, though.

Lilanchen - Love the font - very graphical and polished. Background is A+ too. Unfortunately, I can't use the same mascot/logo - she's copyrighted by another company. I need an original character that is similar but not an exact copy. Also - I'd rather not have a photo in the header. Overall - an excellent header - but the graphics aren't quite what Im looking for. Looking for original drawn graphics please.

 

here' s a sketch proposal and a few font suggestions.

i didn't know the original mascot was copyrighted, i thought we were just modernizing it. my next submission will be more different from the original than this one:

 

Hi l3fty - Mascot sketch is good - love the face. Yes, slight differences from the original would be great. Lettering looks good - the second one in the list is my favorite. I like the style of the letter "a" and it seems to compliment the century gothic font used on the site.

Fallenstar - Looks very good - much more balanced now. I also like the style of clothing you have on her. Good entry. No suggestions at this time.

Oooo... wow, A4hire! Super nice! Mascot is exceptional. I love how it blends into the background. The sparkle on the vacuum and the feather duster in the pocket are awesome details. Nice polished, professional quality. This is my new favorite so far.

Hello here's my try.

 

Wow - looks great zyndtel... I like the coloring and style. I also like the hair style-pony tail. My only suggestion would be to make it slightly different from the original so it doesn't look exactly the same.
