Use Social Media, PPC and backlinking. Maybe you should try to use another design...more pictures and featuring posts. Try YouTube...especially for sports like Formula 1 I would upload videos and put in the link to your site.

I would sign up to Formula 1 specific forums, because you can't expect webmaster traffic to convert for that...like Mario said, social media is a start. Follow people with formula 1 on twitter, but the main thing is SE traffic. People searching those terms are either looking for information to answer a question or a product to satisfy a need. Either way that's what your goal is.

Thanks alot, i cant use pictures since quality pictures are all copyright owned and they can create a mess... I have been finding videos from youtube to add to content but most of the time Formula 1 administration gets them removed :p
I have tried sign up to formula 1 forums and i m quite active there with detailed answers but as i mentioned they are not converting to subscribers...

i did, contacted a few copy right owners, theyre offering arnd $200 per month for picture usage... i can afford that for a new website...

I will be glad if anyone mentions any good social bookmarking websites especially for sports, Digg, SU, Reddit have mostly technology followers

Simply head to advanced search on flickr and select "Only search within Creative Commons-licensed content".

Yeah Social networking - create groups and fan page in Facebook and post information and links in related forums back to you site
