If I have 300 followers in Twitter and i post links to my blog, do I get 300 backlinks every time I add link to my status? Is this a way to get backlinks? Or there is something else? I'm to very interested for traffic from Twitter. I want better ranking in SE.
social networking sites like twitter, facebook etc are good platforms to promote your site or business, but you do not get any back links from these sites. Social media marketing- if done properly can definitely drive good amount of traffic to your site.
From my opinion, these sites like facebook, twitter are not used for getting backlinks these sites are used to attract traffic and also help to make your presence on web.
you can have a good traffic from social media networks such as facebook , twitter but you can't get backlinks from them because all of them is having nofollow , and some having redirect links
So, what is a good way to use Twitter? I have about 40 followers in 4 days, and increasing... How can i use it and How much do i need?
Yeah, social marketing site is only good for getting traffic. Try to create a blog and more followers then you might have a better luck.
Social media networks are good source of traffic. When I added my site to SMNs, I noticed my rank was increasing in SE. If we check backlinks in google or yahoo, the links to social media network will appear in results.
no, because that shows up in their homepage. If they retweet you will get these links, but they are no follow. That's why you should always DM people after following you, making it easy for them to tweet @yourtwitter so you can not only get links but direct exposure to all their followers.
I've never noticed links in tweeks indexed by Google , not sure if even public profiles are indexed so i doubt links will make a difference , however they will help you get traffic, like many have said
Then you should quit because Twiter and Facebook are more likely traffic drivers not SE backlinks builders.
Twitter is a great platform to drive traffic to your site. You need to have patience, follow people who are relevant to your line of business. The bio is important, how do you introduce yourself, show your strength ( what you are good at), tweet something which would be useful for your followers. Don't try promote your site too much, though you can do that once a while. Help your readers, share your knowledge and expertise, try to solve their questions. In this way you can build a reputation, once you build that people will start listening you, will continuously read your tweets, follow the links that you place and will also come to your site to know about you. It is a tool for long term promotion.
Nope, I dont think, Twitter is the right medium to get back links. It is the medium to get traffic. Use it in a right way to get traffic.
