    Hi,

Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.

Keyword density is the percentage (%) of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.

keyword density was an important factor in how a page was ranked. However, as webmasters discovered this & the implementation of optimum keyword density became widespread, it became a minor factor in the rankings. Search engines began giving priority to other factors that are beyond the direct control of webmasters. Today, the overuse of keywords, a practice called keyword stuffing, will cause a web page to be penalized.

Keyword density play very important role in SEO. As said before "Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page." To rank your page or website is vital that you understand the proper density on a content. General 3-7% is said normal in practice.

This is really important to remember. It's better to err on the side of caution rather than risk a keyword stuffing penalty.

Keyword density is a combination of the number of times a keyword or a keyword phrase, in proportion with other words, appears on a Web page. The more times the keyword appears in relation to the total number of on page words, the greater the overall keyword density. The more times that other words appear, the lower the proportion of keywords, resulting in a lighter keyword density.

Others have eloquently described what it is. I'd say forget about it. As long as you don't spam by keyword stuffing. The best way to do this is to write naturally and your main keywords, the longtail and LSI will take care of themselves.

Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or keyword phrase is found in your page content amidst all the other content. For example, if you have a Web page with exactly 100 words on it including all headlines, captions, alt text, and advertising, and you have a keyword phrase that is on the page 3 times, your keyword density is 3%:

There are free keyword tools out there there that give you keyword densities. You need to research all the various products and compare them to see which is best. Keyword Discovery has a free trial and has such a tool, but there are others.

Keyword density is the number of times your keyword phrase appears on a Web page relative to the total number of words on the page. While it's possible to manually count all the words and then count the keyword phrase, there are many tools that you can use that are easier and give you better results.
