Im looking to start transferring some domains.

When I make a transfer does everything stay in tact?

    IE: Privacy, DNS Settings

The reason I ask, I would be moving established and running sites.

    Thanks in advance.

When you transfer your domain elsewhere, your whois information and DNS settings remain instact.

If you are paying for privacy at GoDaddy, this feature is lost and depends on the new registrar offer you this option for a price.

Not all domain registrars have privacy feature though.

Just a note, you will need to unlock the domain name and disable the privacy to allow the domain name to be transferred. If the privacy is set on during the transfer period, it will not go through. I've tried that a few times and now I learnt my lesson.

godaddy will ask you if you would like to keep the same DNS information after the domain has transferred. So it would be up to you.

lindmar -> not trying to hijack your thread, I got a problem with GoDaddy transfer, so I guess I just ask my question here :)

I made a domain transfer from another GoDaddy member. I've changed the nameservers to GoDaddy default settings but when I checked on my site (2 days after I set the GD default setting) the main page is parked in SEDO parking. Do you guys know what's wrong with this?

    Thanks in advance :)

they can take up to 48 hrs to update. I know you have waited a couple of days, but you may want to wait another 24 hrs before you start worrying. Since this is a parked domain, it shouldn't be that big of a deal to wait 1 more day. If it is to be parked make sure you check "Default Parked Name Servers"
