Common link building methods get aged - new advanced strategies needed and coming UP

You have asked a valid question. I have prepared a screenshot of a site statistics from one of our large-scale SEO promotors.
The stats below shows daily visitors from Dec 2009 till Jun 2010. They have started their promotion via seo-console.com in Novemeber-December. No other new techniques have been applied in parallel, according to the representative.
The rise reported is from 7000-9000 visitors a day to 12000-14000 visitors a day. Period: 5 months. The share of the search engines in the traffic: 80-85%. The share has risen a bit last months.

I will ask our other private advertisers, maybe some will share their stats also. If so, I will post screenshots from other sites tomorrow.



PS. The slight dive in the end of December - beginning of January can be explained by a dead season in the site' theme - Christmas holidays.

 

Mind explaining your idea in the second sentence in more details?
Could be an interesting stuff, I suppose.

Trying to get some experience now.

The search and purchase functions look realy impressive.
I have not seen that many search filter criteria even in text-link-ads, especially i like the indication of each webpage indexation in Google, Yahoo and Bing.
But I have not found any recommendations on the site like 'How to get the best out the system' which would advice on the best ways to define the anchor texts, best ways to use your search criteria, and so on
So it would be a sort of practical manual.

If this exists, give a hint, please.

 

We have no such public SEO-tutorial on our website. I am taking care of it currently, so I will post the guidelines here in a few hours.

But already now, I can mention the most important recommendation in using the system:
Do not be quick and short in defining your anchor texts and description texts. Make them solid and sounding, such that your backlinks will be looking on the placed webpages as a trustworthy source of information. Then, not only SEs will value your digest-based backlinks and fully take them into account, but also the visitors of those websites will hit the links, and you will even get a targeted traffic.

Yesterday I`ve got the 10$ bonus and now giving my feedback. The common impression is very positive, though there are several thing I don`t like and several things still need to be done. Negative thing is that there are lot of websites (selling linkplaces) that are very similar to each other (it seems they have one customizable WP template), and it seems the content is just automatically crawled from somewhere (I don`t say that about all the websites, but about mostly fitting my filters).
The radiobox Yes, show only websites not purchased yet in this campaign is not functional at the moment, but very needed.
The list of the filters fitting websites contains all the pages in one list, but better to list just unique domains and make the possibility for every element (matching one website) to be dropdown the user to be able to get the list of pages of this exact website (though I understand that it might be something like marketing trick, and due to it that seems you have a very very lot linkplaces))).
And one more thing - please add the excluding keywords filter - it is very very needed.

We have one large scale publisher with 50 high PR sites. They indeed look similar (5 design templates), but they are actually very old and have a constantly updated content. We do not accept autoblogs.

We are testing it currently. Was it nonworking in Search or in Saved Filters section?

Ok, valid point, we will investigate possible performance drawbacks of this filter and add this if it will be OK.

Do you think the russian market would be interested in the ENG trading system with this functionality?

yes I think it could be interested, because in Russia there are many internet marketers who work with the english websites, and though SAPE is king there - it is very poor with really qualitative english link sources.

p.s. by the way, maybe I`m just a little tired after the working day, but I couldn`t find the XLS export statistics data button. How the backlinks information could be exported to make the reports?

 

Thanks for your expert opinion on the russian market perspectives. Our analysis has shown the same results. So, we actually plan to come in Russia at the end of summer, with a large database of English websites and with WebMoney payments and with no taxation problems that SAPE has currently.

How about in-content links? We are preparing a next product for in-content (contextual) links trading. As far as I understood, SAPE has little good sites and poor search functionality in their "in-content links" section. Are there any other good in-content link trading systems in Russia?

actually, the best link marketplace I have ever worked with is the Gogetlinks.net . I prefer them (working with russian websties) because:
1. they sell permanent links;
2. the link sources are really qualitative;
3. you pay for the link after Yandex have indexed it (actually it`s a little controversial, but in 80% cases its true).

But gogetlinks has not any english link places to sell, so you may take advantage of that

I. Preparation for backlink building (can be skipped by SEO experts)

1. Identify keywords or phrases for which you are going to rise your website in SERP.
Desirably, find the keywords that are frequently typed by SE users but, at the same time, have low or medium competition rate.

2. For each selected keyword or phrase, identify a webpage on your website which targets/addresses the keyword. It can be the case, that one webpage will be the best option for several keywords. Do not focus only on mainpage; think wide – your second-level webpage can bring you more visitors then mainpage, because it might target/address a specific keyword better.
Those pages will become landing pages or promoted pages in the seo-console interface.

3. Make on-page optimization for selected keywords on each promoted page:
- check the keyword or phrase presence in the <title> tag, keyword variations are useful
- mention the keyword or phrase in the <description> tag
- mention the keyword in your <h1>, <h2> tags
- check the keyword density in the textual content on the promoted page. Optimal value: 1-4%

EXAMPLE
A website that sells, lets say, elephants ;-).
Your keywords/phrases:
elephants, discounts, buy, best offer, reduced price, cheap, budget, download, free trial
Your promoted pages:
www.yourdomain.tld/elephants+discounts, targeted keywords: elephants with discounts, buy elephants, best offer elephants, elephants reduced price

II. Creation of promotion campaign & anchor texts for future backlinks

1. Create a promotion campaign and add the set of your promoted pages.
2. For each promoted page create 5-40 pairs of anchor texts and description texts. Further, a pair of an anchor text and a description text is called ‘DBA text’ (DBA – Digest-Based Ads).
One DBA text consists of a title (anchor text) which is followed by a description. You can place as many backlinks with one DBA text as you wish (see Section III).
3. A title must contain your targeted keywords and their variations. A description may also contain the keywords.
4. Advised title length – one sentence, 15-50 letters, advised description length – 2-3 sentences, 100-400 letters.
5. Make both title and description solid and sounding, such that your backlinks will be looking as a trustworthy source of information on the placed webpages. Then, not only SEs will value your digest-based backlinks and fully take them into account for ranking, but also the visitors of those websites will hit the links, and you will even get a targeted traffic from the publishing websites.
6. The best manner to write such DBA text is to make a sentence that would read as a real news or digest about your promoted page. See the following example.
7. Still, be honest there; do not write falsified texts, or texts irrelevant to your site.

EXAMPLE
The same website selling elephants…
DBA text #1 for promoted page www.yourdomain.tld/elephants+discounts:
Title (anchor): Online service yourdomain.tld sets high discounts on all elephant products.
Description: The online portal yourdomain.tld has launched a sell-off campaign on all their elephant products. The offered discounts reach 20% for most of the popular elephants. The sell-off campaign is slated for closure in two months.

DBA text #2 for promoted page www.yourdomain.tld/elephants+discounts:
Title (anchor): Best buy options provided by the elephant server yourdomain.tld.

III. Search inventory for suitable webpages and place your backlinks

How to find most relevant webpages to place your backlinks?

1. Do not buy millions of backlinks, buy targeted backlinks on webpages with the same themes and language.
2. Use the Website Themes and Website Language options. Select only a set of themes and languages matching your advertisement. This increases promotion efficiency, improves your ranking in SEs and reduces probability of rejection from the publisher's side.
3. Use the double sorting options Sort by, first and Sort by, second, in order to get the most relevant webpages on top of your search results.

What if you get too many search results?

1. Use filtering by Keywords, enter your promoted keywords and find the pages containing them in the content. These are the most relevant pages you want for link building!
2. Use the Limit number of pages from each website option, which will return only a limited set of results per each website.
3. Select both Google and Yahoo options in Webpage indexation in SEs filter. Then you get pages, which are indexed in the major search engines.
4. Select to show only pages within one click from the mainpage in the Clicks from main page filter. Then you will get regularly re-indexed and most important pages on each website.
5. Use the External links on webpage (OBL) filter to find pages that contain low amount of Outbound Links.

Finally, you get good search results, showing relevant pages, whats next?

Select the pages you like most, using the criteria shown for each page:
- Monthly price for a link
- AlexaRank
- Yahoo Rank
- Domain Registration Year,
- Theme
- Domain Google PR
- Page Google PR
- Number of OBLs on page
- Website Language
- Page indexation by Google
- Site presence in major directories
- Number of website pages indexed by Google

Select the checkboxes and click on the ‘Buy backlinks’ button.
Backlinks will appear on pages within 1 hour after publisher approval

Glad you said it Steve. Sometimes people really forget that there are other search engines out there who have a market share in the same industry in google. Google is not God , its not about the links you have , but the traffic you get overall , and therefore every link counts by the way nice avatar!

 

is your network on one or many IP's? I did try one such network with 100 IP's 6 months ago and got nada out of it.
