I need a little advise from all domain expert out there. When its come to domain selling, do you get higher response rate if you contact the potential buyer through mail or email? How do you make an impression or present yourself as an domain expert instead of advertising spammer? I was thinking of using hand writing when sending out mail but that would be too much work especially if I have to mail it for dozen of potential customers.
Mail is the preferred way to contact them. there is no readymade template we can use for contacting as it may be differ from buyer to buyer due to business nature
My Domain Sales Strategy for 2010 So what’s my sales strategy for this year? Last year I focused on selling many domains through a number of different channels – while this is a great way to get your names in front of a large group of people…the time and energy spent on each domain is minimal. This year I have a different, more focused and targeted strategy. Here is how I plan to sell my domains in 2010: * Pick no more than 36 domains I wish to sell this year * Focus on selling 3-4 domains per month * Sell each domain through a different channel – i.e. one domain promoted directly to end-users, one through a platform like SnapNames, one through a forum, and one through a brokerage newsletter like Rick Latona’s I am hoping this strategy will help me focus more on each individual domain sale as well as help me match each individual domain to a complimentary sales channel.
Instead of going through a big market, I was thinking of focus on individual buyer or rather offline business owner who is so clueless at online marketing. I would approach them through showing the advantage of having strong and powerful domain name.
Email is often associated to spammers so the time you invest in hand-written email and perhaps facilitating a phone number can give your potential customer the confidence they need to deal with you.
a lot company doesn't have website, they maybe not interesting about just buying domain. they need full package website integrated with their business. so my suggest is open your yellow pages in your area and start contact them one by one, i belief they will use your service
yeah thats true but that not possible to implement. Do you think its easy to get personal mail/phone/addr details of end users
hmmm is there any email template to do that ? I beleive even they didnot have website, they usuualy have email.
then you can try with the contact form within the parked pages if any otherwise you may need to analyze the hosting and try
Private whois records have email addresses like public whois records. I don't see any difference to contact them via email. However sending sales emails to whom you don't know may not be a good idea as it might make you a spammer. Another reason is that most people delete sales emails without reading.
Why would you send something via post We live in the digital age & you're trying to sell a digital asset, email is the only way to go IMO
I dont think companies buy domain names from people.Has anyone ever sold a domain to one? If so please list the name and how much you got for it
