I forgot to add something. I'm not promoting my site, it is not my main site anyways but http://treestandguide.com on my front page I have a BlogRoll Link summary I briefly tell them why it is important to us and how it benefits them. I provide them with a link that takes them to my contact page. On my contact page I already have custom code made up the way I want them to craft my link. All they do is simply copy and paste the code into their website. I tell them to send me an email with their code and its done. It works and it makes it easy for them. Im going to test this on my main website. Dedicate a whole page and explain in detail all the benfits for them. Then compare the results. To see how much more links I will get compared to the previous way.

you at least make 10 backlink per day, do not spamming as google will black list your site.

page rank really means nothing. What you should be focusing on is search engine RANKINGS and building the amount of traffic that you get from these rankings.

Pagerank is weighted most on quality of site (and keyword targeting) and backlinks. There is a supposed method to get a PR of 2 you need 5 5+pr links coming in. There are many, many different combination that will result in PR 1 and 2, its PR 4+ thats hard! (In the hundreds of pr4+ links)

Go for the mid-range backlinks, and get lots of them. Just don't go nuts - you don't want to get sandboxed or de-indexed.

As I think, quality backlink matters a lot either way it is from articles, directories and any other way. But when the process is too fast for getting backlink through link exchange it will add an extra advantage to our website.

    Thanks & Regards,

A question: Do you get a pr for a subdomain? Evertime I check the pr it has NA, even the one with the /blog as a subdomain.

Yes you do get pagerank for subdomains. I was indexed and recieved a pr3 on one of my subdomain websites within 2 months. If you list your websites and give me your main keyword for each site I can review them for you.

    Myth about pagerank...

I show Mr Cash has wrote "because of my signature and continuing posting in blogs, i got 2 page rank for my site ". well this statement is not 100% true, Google is smart enough...if you posting your signature with link then your link will consider only one time, so mind well this will not effect at all, other wise every webmaster have a pagerank more then 1 by just posting reply in Digital point or any other forum....now will go to give comment, giving comment is nice, but you should continues Give comment related with article, not same at all place, if you'r done so then no any problem.....

Way too many variable to answer your original question. Mainly how many backlinks does you competition have and what is the PR of thier backlinks. Just keep building until you get the rank you want.

Here is some advice to increase your rage rank

Dont just link to any page, get links to real, active sites. If you are desperate to get good PR right away try a link in Yahoo Directory (involves a cost). It is better to get links onto trusted domain pages like a university resource page. Resource pages are generally considered as offering valuable information and Google likes that, but you must have good content to offer so you can get those sites to link through to you.
Finally try commenting on other blogs.

    Hope this helps
