I have recently got my debit card and wanted to verify my paypal by using my debit card. I just wanted to know that if by any ways my paypal account gets hacked then can the hacker use the money in my debit card through paypal for buying stuff online or not?? Can my money in debit card be used by that hacker via paypal?

If you are from india then you can't verify your pp account with any indian debit card.

As DON said, Indians can verify with Bank account, so verify with your bank account. Debit card will not work.
Regarding security, use good anti-virus /malware and keep user pass in safe.

Nope because you can send money from pp to bank but not from bank to pp or someone else through pp from your bank account.

I guess... it depends on your country. If you are from USA, one can easily pay to someone from your Paypal using even your bank account funds... but the same is not possible for an Indian Paypal account, simply because Indian regulations prevent Paypal from directly debiting an Indian bank account.

Paypal is secure but then it really depends on your habits, too. There are many ways that hackers can steal your information without your knowing it. Several years ago I went through a free course about phishing scams and identity theft and it was a real eye opener. The course is still available if you care to go through it, on http://vu.ksurf.net/catalog/142.html
