I think Blog commenting is way too old now and I don't think it will be working anymore.

Spam isn't the how you do it. Find ways of exploiting popular communities in a way that looks decent.

finding the blog to comment to that's a do follow requires a lot of hard work. but if a blog has a high PR, then it will be worth it.

Thanks for the message, I will check out our blog in more detail tomorrow, I just had a click through on it and saw it had something about running a business alongside a 905 which is what I am doing at the moment, you might have some tips in there that will not have me sat at the pc at 3am like tonight!

High PR only one of the factor. Other than PR, we should look for the same niche and less OBL too

Blog commenting is a way to get backlinks. It will drive traffic to your site if you comment on blogs that get traffic. Does the blog have to be do-follow? I say NO it does not. If you want what they call "link juice" then yes. But, if you want traffic then commenting will do.

What I like to do is comment on blog posts that I find interesting. Even if I do something a bit different then the other guy. If I post something in a comment that can spark a conversation I like that. I use it as a way to sorta mingle with other bloggers.

I learn from them because I am slowly getting the hang of this thing they call blogging.

Blog commenting will always work, but it depend on purpose. If you do for PR or backlink its really hard, you have to make sure commented on a dofollow blog, and make sure to choose the same topic. And if you only do for traffic, that is easy, simply comment on every blog, not just in dofollow blog.

If you have one website is fine to create backlinks going to websites and comments on them but what if the person has many websites. Which is the best thing to do when you have many websites and want to comment on all of them?

    Any suggestion? Software, Strategies, Techniques???

This blog commenting give good result if you comment on high page rank web sites but it is hard to get approved from moderators if your comment looks not worthy.

Every blog is different. If you are serious about finding blogs that allow you to post back links check out blogcatalog.com. Their groups section is loaded with people who network for this kind of thing.

The suggestion to use Blogcatalog is a good one. You can also use Google Custom Search straightway and find tons of results. Here is the link:

    http://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=010363265520675485990:xjmxcyokkls

When you use SEO Quake to decipher PR, you will be rocking!!!

That being said, the thing about BC is that a blog can convert from do follow at a moment's notice. Not to be discouraged because in actuality it looks somewhat unnatural to have all "Do Follow" links and absolutely zero "No Follow" links. I keep a ratio of "No Follow links just to insure none of my sites are raising any obvious Red Flags.
