Well this is first time i know that if you thank someone you will get Infraction what's wrong with this post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1442432#post1442432 I just want to thank skionxb for his useful post I am in love with DP and I always try to respect the rules if the word "thank you" is bad please let me know. Cheers
See http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=139064 Before you post, asky yourself, "will this post help the DP viewers?" If the answer is no and you want to communicate thought to someone, put in a PM.
I agree wiv you, but i think word "thank you" enthuses members... In the life you thank everyone for what she/he is doing, ain't?
Dont worry ottodo , this is just a waste of time , and maybe for other people they enjoy doing it just ignore it ... but dont get 10
yes, you should say thank you. However, think about it, if thread are full of these kind of reply that doesn't mean much, it is harder to find useful information. The mod just try to keep the forum clean. btw, if you want to thx op, just give him a green rep
Dude the thread was for free directories, what should i reply, and how can I thank him.. "thank you" is 9 * 8 = 72 bytes
Its already been said 3 times, if your concern is that the directory owner (or in this case thread starter) know you are appreciative, either send them a PM or give them a green rep thanking them. In other words, why should the "New Posts" and DP Spy be filled with Thank You posts?
i suggest we should close the " welcome category" since it only contain hellloooooooooooo welcome on board .....
Well all you would really need to is make it so you need at least 100 posts to welcome someone else (But no restriction on starting a thread there)...It seems like nearly all the people cut and pasting are doing so in their first posts. ie. You have people who joined well after the thread starter welcoming them - lol
ohhh i am afraid now to say thank you or say hello http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1238747#post1238747
Its not about being afraid. Generally: 1.) If the majority of your posts are in that section, all with similar responses, you pretty much know what your contribution to the community is 2.) IF you ever use CTRL-C or CTRL-V, you pretty much know what your contribution to the community is 3.) If someone has posted they are leaving DP in the Intros section, and you say "Welcome to DP, Hope you have fun" - you pretty much know what your contribution to the community is I have a few posts in that section but it is usually because I am legitimately interested in something they said in their intro, or I recognize the user name and actually want to welcome them. Just use common sense and there will be no need to be "afraid" PS. I wouldn't link to your posts in that section, thats a Crazy_Rob invitation if I have ever seen one
