In most cases of most sites it doesn't matter what script you choose.

No you cant, it will be very hard to profit from it with adsense.

 

Probably a good idea but do not expect an easy Adsense profit. Webmasters rarely click on the ads or even see them.

I did try it myself too, its not ideal, plus not good for the adsense account, dont want adsense in a category with no listings.

I personally cant make an easy profit with anything yet considering the OP's question, i have some dreams that i cant build yet, i guess you could say they are dreams of pipes (my dreams) but not pipe dreams, they are acheiveable, but i need to get over a few hurdles first.

 

We tried adsense for 3 months and found that for a few dollars per month
it just not nearly enough for piece of real estate we have provided to Google

Web directory is not good business any more go for blog or article site if you want make money using Adsense.

 

I know the webmasters not click in google adsense

but i think that many of visitors not be webmasters and browse my web directory

even if your directory gives you $1 per day from adsense, that is a great thing.

I agree. Adsense on a directory is useless. Cannot earn from there.

 

I own several directories and have tried adsense with no luck. Very minimum payout. I have had better luck with ad network which is paying 2 - 3 times what google paid

 

Directories business is going to be zero.

 

Web directories didn't attract ordinary people, In most of the cases Google has nothing to do with directories when someone search for blah blah... Most of the folks who visit web directories are web masters & SEO consultant who want to promote their specific brands by submitting their sites to a specific category in a directory...

So the conclusion is " Adsense in not good for directories"
