Did EZA change the body to nofollow? I just edited one of my articles and seen that the html link had this: <a target="_new" no follow href=........ I did not know they changed this...if they did. The resource box is still the same. This will no doubt suck as i have thousands of articles in there to my clickbank sites.
Yes, it has become nofollow this month. More information here:- http://blog.ezinearticles.com/2008/12/links-in-article-body-become-nofollowed.html BTW, why to have links in the body? Your main aim is to get traffic from the resource box?
Yes you are right. When I read the blog post, I noticed it was posted on Dec 2008. Sorry I mentioned it wrong that it was this month. It was implemented since then.
I guess i never realized it was that way. Why have links in the body? Your conversions will be better the higher up you have a link. I guess now i will have my keyword link in the bio for a "follow" link and my "trigger, click here now" link in the body.
@rjd265 I haven't seen many people using links in the body of the article (and I don't personally see any reason for that) as long as all my articles have a CTR of over 20% I guess the resource box is a lot more effective. Apart from that the resource box can play an important role and that is your "Call To Action" that I'm afraid you can't do in the body of the articles. Al.
Al, I get what you are saying. I just found through testing that my CTR is about 13% higher when i do have a link in the article body. What i do is a call to action in the bio box with my keyword as the link. In the body however, i just do another keyword as far up as i can get it...usually the 3rd paragraph down is what EZA allows. Later!
You can, but just as long as the link is NOT self-serving (your website). Self-serving goes in the resource box.
No its not. When i just had the link at the bottom i was getting about 15-20% CTR on my articles. When i added the link as high up as they allow i started to average about 25-35% CTR. With EZA updated author stats area it is really easy to see what is working and what is not. My articles with two links, one in the bio box and one in the body, far up are getting a much better CTR than my older articles with just one link at the bottom... I guess it is a mute point, i just started the thread to see if EZA was no follow in the article body as i did not know that was the case.
