Maybe look for blogs on the topic and offer to sell or trade a guest post?

If they are of superb quality, perhaps try to submit to a trade magazine or journal?

Or, put them on you own site as portfolio pieces?

If the quality is up to par, http://www.constant-content.com/ may be a good source for selling that kind of articles.

Articles sell at decent prices over there as well.

Thanks. I had sold some my articles there. But i think the sailing ones won't be sold there. Anyway, i've placed my ad there too.

I like the idea of YMC, as it could lead to substantial business. Use one of your articles as a "door opener"

First offering your article, with your name, contact, and website, FREE to a well know blog. You are establishing credibility.
Next you Google: ship building, navigational tools, training instructors.
These should be people that make at least $1,000 for a sale or service.

You email them a form, giving recognition to how you article appeared on a top blog. Then emphasize that if you article about navigation brought 10 "hot lead" possible customers to your site, would it be worth $50.00
From there you put together a $500 package for articles on article directories, consumer content on their site, and maybe a couple press releases.
You seem like a nice person. If you want to contact me, I can show you how for free, you can become a member of some worthwhile organizations in sailing. (also meaning good conducts)
Do it right, and in this line, $250.00 an article is eventually possible, and $50 relatively easy -----------------------------------------hope this helps----------------------------------

Same thing could also happen through constant content. several of my higher paying clients I found through there :)

In fact I think that constant content is the best "market place" for writers at the moment.

    I'll pass. :)~

But to give you a serious reply, heh, if your articles are good, look into magazines in that area.

    Such as:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=sailing+magazines&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

Many magazine editors are always on the lookout for fresh content.

And, voila, they may also have their own site.

Hell, you could shoot for having them carry your articles both in their magazines and in their sites.

Think about newspapers, both off and online also.

There are, God knows how many sources out there you can hit up.

Try to think outside the box.

    Does http://www.sailingworld.com/ pay for articles?
    They took my articles yesterday.
Today, they emailed me the following message.
    ---------
    Dear valued contributor,
Please bear with us while we get the current issue out the door. Your materials are safe in our hands.
We’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
    Regards,
    ---------
I'm not going to become a free contributor for their magazine.

    JohnRas has a good idea.

Many forums pay for good articles also.

Nick, did they pay you for them? Did you get your money upfront?

    Always get your money upfront.

    Oh, ok.

Looks like a nice site. He only has around, roughly, a thousand or so daily visitors, though.

Hope you get your moolah. That is, IF he publishes your articles.
