one soldier was fixing his shoe, the other was fixing his rifle. It is clear from the footage that the rifle didn't fire: no light, no smoke, no empty bullet shells flowing off the window, and no impulse backwards. Only people who believe in the "miracles of the quran" can also be convinced that we see a murder (without fire and without a murder victim...)

israel should release all the video and images that has collected and let the world see the whole story. this way people can see with their own eye and judge the situation based on all available evidence. this is not so hard to do .

 

Exactly. If they haven't done anything wrong, there is no point keeping those videos. I heard on an interview that Israel returned the cameras and other devices after wiping off their memory (maybe someone can confirm that with other sources. My source is Aaj TV reporter Talat Hussain who was on one of those ships).

 

Israel typically doesn't release media in times of war; there is also the fact that these videos released by the other side, full of lying and BS, tend to make the picture pretty clear.

 

Heh, no doubt. If guaharjk and his ilk have no qualms about posting this kind of video and claiming it shows Israeli's "murdering activists", they might as well release clips of spongebob, because the headlines coming out of the "Gaza Freedom Group" will be the same. I personally think Israel should release as much of the video as possible, but given the gullability of Gaza supporters, I can also understand why they wouldn't.

 

I also feel it would be beneficial to release more of the video; but at the same time I certainly understand why they don't - even beyond the nutjobs, by sticking (more or less, not totally, in this case) to their media blackout it allows soldiers to do their jobs.

I do hope to see more footage though; that isn't some guy not firing a gun or some idiots lying around a boat after they attacked the Israelis and came off worse. All that proves is you should never give monkeys weapons, even boards.

actually if i remember correctly, before the incident, they said they are going to video the event as proof and counter propaganda that the humanitarian on the ship might try to produce. so they have made a tape for public consumption.
they have also confiscated the video and the images belonging to the journalist passengers.
they can release journalist and passenger's video and pictures and their own video that they shot for public in its entirely.
that should clear the matter pretty quickly.
of course they can suggest that the rest of the world is not smart enough to view and judge the content of the video.

 

Isn't propaganda always for public consumption? When quoting what they said before the incidient, are you referring to where they said they wanted to become martyrs, or when they said they would throw the soldiers from the boat, or where they said "Allah Akbar". I just want to get my pre-floatilla quotes straight.

 

i meant that israel said they are going to tape their actions to prevent floatilla people to create propaganda tape.
so this might be a different tape than one that might have state or military sensitive content that israel might have made for themselves, and releasing the first should be sufficient.
