What's with Google letting my Adwords campaigns regularly go over their specified budget? For example, I have a campaign that I have at a $16 a day budget and I just noticed that yesterday I spent $19 something on Adwords. I mean, I'm not really complaining because it probably brought me a couple dozen extra visitor, but still. Over the course of a month or so this could build up to another $100 or so extra that I didn't want to spend on Adwords. I can only imagine if you had a very high daily budget and went way over by a few hundred or even a few thousand dollars.
Your budget is set daily, but the calculation is at 30 days basis - it will never send you more than 30 x $16 = $480 on a 30 days period.
It can go upto 20% more of daily budget, but that will be accomodated in your montly budget (so you never pay more than your monthly budget) So rest assured
yup they will never cross your budget and u get some bonus clicks sometime which will be adjusted at the end of every month.
So you mean that we get free clicks? I am noticing my campaigns going over budget as well, so I should not worry about it??
Nowadays, this is a just a theoretical guarantee rule - in practical AdWords system never go over month budget limit (30 x dailly ).
