Why can't you guys pay for hosting? Free hosting isn't very reliable, and most people won't give it to you that will be able to keep it for more than a month.

It depends. As you get lower on the list, your traffic drops exponentially. My site that's #3 for "unblock facebook" got 29,764 hits from that this month, while my site that's #7 for the same keyword got 2,488. I can only imagine what #1 gets.
how did you advertise so well? didnt you run out of toplists to submit to? what did you do after you ran out? Just SEO? I have an issue where i cant get more visitors as ive submitted to practically every toplist, and my proxy has now gone to the old pages of the toplist :S
The best proxy I ever made was one I never submitted to ANY toplist. I didn't even put it in some thread here over at DP Just on a side-note that proxy lists aren't the best things for promotion -- better put time in SEO, or some good RoI money in newsletter blasts

The red link in my signature is now viewable on over 4700 pages from signatures on forums, and was at the bottom of page 1, 2 weeks ago in Google -- now it's #2 already so yeah it should be helping I guess
Ye would be nice to know what the difference between position #1-5 is. How much time did you spend on SEO to get that ranking? Any tips for starters here? We all know google loves content so I think people should write more content on their website and on other websites linking back to their website with 1 or 2 different anchor texts. Rinse and repeat!
That's true. On site seo is very important - a good domain name and header tag is necessary, and the one paragraph your main page has could make the difference.
No it will not work. You need to go to major teen forum then only you feel the effect of putting link at signature.
