Both. You need to be excellent & experienced in on-page SEO and at quality, relevant link-building.

yep but with off page optimization you can get your site popular as soon as you want but on page optimization is an organic method and takes time to improve rankings IMO.

 

It requires depending upon your keyword competition. If you are having site with less competition, on page optimization alone is sufficient. If your having site with high competition, you need both to get good ranking.

 

Both are important. You can also get higher rankings with off page submission. But will get fast and good results with offpage.

 

as per my point of view .... for any site promotion ... we need both On page and Off Page. after doing onpage .. the off page factor most important.

 

They are both important, but if you get the on-page wrong, it may be harder to rank with the off-page.
When you get the on-page right, then the rest is cake-walk, (easy).
I normally preform this task in 4 parts. (1) Page title tags Generation. (2) META description and marketing tags.
(3) Geographical target market tags. and (4) Main content suggestions.

 

Both of them are quite important. At first I will suggest to dedicate more time to the Off page but On page is something that you can not neglect.

OnPage is more important today. But OffPage linking is very important as well.

 

On page optimization is an important in seo .because to promote your site in user friendly and increase visitors in organic .there are different steps are present in on page optimization. Analyzing key words with competitors, Added Meta Tags, Altags, important one is they presents of unique content.

Off page optimization to be used for promote website in minimum time, it’s one of illegal way for Google. And off page optimization is to break the search engine rules.

 

Excuse me for picking you up on this point, but what you say sounds misleading.

Analysing competitors' KWs & KW research is *also* part of any off-page strategy too - if you're link building, writing press releases/articles for 3rd party sites and/or utilising social media then KW research is vitally important so it's not just for on-page work.

As for your statement about off-page optimisation I think it needs to be clarified that, in itself, off-page SEO/SEM is neither illegal nor in breach of any SE rules. There are certain practices, for instance rapid & massive comment-spamming, that will be flagged at the SEs and penalties served in whichever manner, so they are pointless.

On the other hand, if you build great quality, well-written, KW-rich (and researched) content for link bait or PR distribution then you will probably gain some very natural, powerful (and LEGAL) off-page positives.

Off-site SEO (building links from external sites) will carry far more weight in your rankings than will on-site/on-page SEO. Given the choice of doing only one or the other, I would go with off-site SEO.

Off-page/off-site optimization is NOT illegal and does NOT break the search engine rules any more than on-page optimization does. You can build as many back links from other sites as you want and Google will not penalize you for it UNLESS you get caught buying links red handed. Similarly, you can do stupid stuff with on-page SEO that is a violation of their guidelines and can get you penalized just as easily like hidden text.

Trying to imply that off-site SEO will get you penalized and on-site/on-page will not is TOTALLY ludicrous.
