so i starting to get some backlinks on my music based website. my plan is to google my keywords to bring up the guys that are #1 to #10 in google for the keywords im using. then i would visited all their websites and try and find a way to place my website link on their website. is this correct or is there a kink in my plan?
It's a good idea to target sites with similar content. I wouldn't just stop at top 10 though, I'd expand it to include the top 50 sites that rank for the desired keyword. Note, though, that if someone is a direct competitor they may not wish to link directly to your site, so it's worth finding sites that have similar content but which are not directly competing with you. In this respect, it may be worthwhile broadening your search to include any sites with a music theme rather than just sites that rank for a particular keyword.
oh ok, so aim much wider for anything to do with music, could also uploading music videos to youtube help?
Its an good idea. They have similar content and are high PR websites. To exchange links with them will give quality traffic for your website.
Have you used blog advertising and social bookmarking? You may want to implement blogcarnivals, blog reviews and guest posting. They are a great way to get one way links from niche related sites...
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1839228 I pasted a range of useful resources in that thread. You should read that stuff over. hope that helps, Nigel
I agree with joshvelco. Maybe you could do a search for "keyword+blog" and contact the blog owners and offer to be a guest blogger you may even develop a professional relationship with the blog owner.
Socialbookmarking really shows results. linking is deep theory its not just to get links form every ever its to get links from quality sites and sites that are doing same as what your site is doing i mean from same niche
That's an option but buying links is not easy on here even though it may look easy, since there's a lot of things you have to be aware of. But that's a whole different subject that's probably worthy of its own post one day.
List 5 keywords you want to rank for,I will then list sites you should contact with a high pr (page rank) you should contact (via email) and request a backlink. This is clean and produce long term results for you online for next 30 minutes be quick
I would say aim for sites that relate to yours, not ones that are directly the same. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what your site is about (other than the fact that music is somehow involved). In any case, if for example you are selling music. The top 10 websites that come up for that would be your direct competition. Instead of asking them for a backlink (and more than likely getting a "no"), I would search out "how to make music" or "free tabs for instruments" websites to request links from.
ooh ok so flank my opposite and kill them like on COD LOL yes i understand what you mean, thank you very much!
Anchor your keyword and create backlinks this would definitely notify search engines of the keyword..
If you are selling music related products online then one good resource for build quality backlink is go on social shopping sites, there are some social shopping sites where can submit your products, the most famous social shopping site is kaboodle, also you can build quality and relevant link from them.
