I'm reaching my first year since launching my website and just had a question for all the webmaster vets out there.

    Basically I was wondering if:

    -500 Pageviews per day
    -About 160 Visitors per day

were good numbers to start in their first year of having a website. I don't exactly know the median of stats like these so if anyone could give some input it'd greatly be appreciated.

Can't say if it's good or bad (if that type of traffic can make you a living then I guess everything's going great for you which I doubt)

I've seen websites going from zero to 1,000,000 + daily impressions a day in less than 6 months (in the adult industry), file hosting and video hosting websites.

It's the income that your site generates all that matters, not your traffic mate.

If you are 100% relevant traffic and it is very small in numbers then there is no problem.

Yeah most of the traffic I'm getting is definitely relevant. I'm guessing now its just a matter of more exposure. According to my Google Analytics I'm getting quality visitors opposed to "one & done" visitors.

What kinds of dollars are you earning from this traffic? That is the best way to measure success in IM :)

A decent amount per moth but not enough residual to live off of. About $20 a month between advertisers Google & Infolinks

I can't really wait until I can get my visitors up. That kind of increase is pretty good in my eyes. But, I am not the person you were asking. I am new to blogging and marketing. Before all I did was build the blog and post to it once in a while. Now I understand that to get the traffic and keep it coming you must post often and keep the posts informative.

Yeah, I agree. The most difficult task I deal with each month is keeping up to date with fresh new content. I think consumers/visitors have the 'NOW' mentality where they need the newest first. In between the time I work on new projects I sometimes find a traffic dip. But when I release something really good, the traffic seems to explode.

Some says it still not good, you have to reach a thousands so advertisers interested with your site.
But i think that is good work.

    Good luck :)

Are you talking visitors or pageviews?

Advertisers will be interested in any site that has relevant and good quality traffic. However, the amount of traffic and the potential to gain future business varies based on how much relevant traffic would come to their site and purchase.

I would rather pay much more on a site with 200 unique visitors per day on a site that was relevant to mine versus a site that had 500 unique visitors but was off-topic.
