UK: Convicts converting to Islam for jail 'benefits'

Among the special benefits of being a Muslim includes halal menu, a menu that is considered better than the usual meals. Also, Muslims are exempted from work during Friday prayers.
The report quoted a prisoner saying: "Food good too, initially this is what converted me."

Another reason for conversions among convicts is that Muslim gangs are powerful

Prison staff of high-security jails fear non-Muslims may also have been converted forcibly.

How does having a problem with this case mean that a person can't be opposed to other times in which a person is forced to convert?

In my mind this just means there are a few more Muslims in jail - which is where they belong anyway until they can stop supporting wife beating.

Hey, here's a unique idea! Why don't you, and all Muslims, renounce wife beating.

That's the only way you are going to stop hearing condemnation from civilized people.

why every time wife beating? what about husband beating?

 

Husband beating isn't much of a problem.

1. We tend to be larger.
2. No major religion teaches husband beating as religious dogma.

When husband beating becomes a huge problem for humankind, we'll move it up on the ToDo list.

Until that time, if you're tired of hearing about wife beating -- change or abandon the Quran.

 

Like Will said, husband beating is nowhere near as much of an issue as wife beating - typically a male is larger and stronger, and as far as I know Islam does not encourage a woman to chastise her husband for being disobedient/lazy/disloyal or even just a pig!

When the Qu'ran no longer allows women to be beaten and children to be raped, then it wont keep coming up - or you could change it to allow women to beat their husbands to force them to submit - then, and only then, will this not be an issue.

alexispetrov only know regarding Muslims how they beat women and rape - nothing else. Check her all posts, you would find thousand times whenever she says anything regarding Islam or Muslims.

Also - I spend maybe 10 minutes a week here these days and then another 30 PMing friends who prefer here to email. That isn't too bad As for work, I'm awake 20 hours a day - I have plenty of time to work; and lucky for me, my work requires very little time and effort.

PS - samser, despite what you may think - I have known plenty of Muslims in my time. I have more issues besides their child rape and domestic abuse - but those are two of the bigger issues. If you'd like we could instead discuss their desire to implement sharia law to drag other countries back to the stone ages - or perhaps the jailing of couples for kissing in Dubai? What about blowing people up? Or trying to avoid having to pay interest on loans? Maybe polygamy? Or we could discuss the age gaps in arranged marriages. We could talk about kids with machine guns, or the mentally handicapped being tricked into blowing themselves up. We could talk about the ritualistic torture that is throwing rocks at a person with the intent to hurt them before death.

If you don't like that idea, how about we discuss the belief that earthquakes are caused women not wearing tents? Or we could have a discussion on honor killings. We might talk about the persecution of gays. Or perhaps we could discuss the whipping of innocent people outside of a BDSM scenario?

Do you want to talk about those things, samser? If not, I can find another 20 options for you.
