Hello, I am researching the possibility of making a creative business magazine. If you were to think of your perfect creative business magazine, what sections would it include, what freebies might it provide, and what cost would you see as reasonable and worth it? Also, what would you call a magazine for creative business? Creative Business Magazine? And what layout would you want it to have? I am planning to try and crowd-source the content, where people from the creative business community can contribute to the magazine, and have their articles featured. If you are interested in being a potential author, please get in touch =) Best Regards, Anhalo.
Surely a creative business magazine should be creative enough to have brainstormed some options and give us a choice?? Or is this how to pretend to be creative magazine??!
lol, I have brainstormed some options, but I've brainstormed probably too many, and am trying to figure out which parts of the niche are the best to focus on, by asking the sort of people that the magazine would be for, as I want the magazine to be useful, rather than bombard people with so much information, that they finish reading it more confused than before they read it XD Though, here are a few of the things I was thinking about anyway =) Possible Sections: • Editorial • Contents • Digital - Photography - Digital Production - Adobe Creative Suite - Content Management Systems - Frameworks - Marketing - SEO - Advertising - Social media - Branding - Music • Artistic Inspiration - Digital - Print - Hand crafted - Other • Creative Business Case Studies • Industry Interviews • Traditional Creative Business - Offline marketing - Design - Interior - Architecture - Paintings - Sculptures - Music - Choreography - Writing - Performance - Journalism • Concepts and Ideas • Scholarly articles • On the pulse industry foresight/updates • Business Tax and Law • Useful industry contacts
^ Please note that the formatting of the above list was removed by the forum software, so may look kinda confusing...
you might want to separate those bolded categories into other magazines, specialize each per mag is more organized that way. Your "contents" section...doesn't make much sense since everything in the mag is content.
Yeah, that was me also planning layout, so "contents" refers to just the bit at the start that lists all the articles and features, and what pages they are on.
Why cant you go with a Magazine about Web marketing or start a magazine on a stuff in which you know more
