I admire what you have done here. I like the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the post that this is working for you as well.

Doesn't support what. Vbulletin seems to be more functional and elegant. But I thin phpBB is good enough for small forums. I only see this from the user perspective. Perhaps someone with administration experience can comment as well.

Already for two months, I use MyBB on my Gimp forums. It is very pleasant to use it and I really felt in love with it. :)

vbulletin is the best. If you dont want to buy, yet you can get punbb, phpbb etc. And I tell you what; phpbb is no less good than vbulletin.

Best forum software is in my view MyBB. It's intuitive, feature rich, and easily modified.

Tell us a bit more about it - How do you go about to establish a forum and then modify with this...

phpbb is good forum and also free of cost, Vbulletin is paid version, if you want to buy a forum software i sugges Vbulletin, and if you want free forum go to phpbb needs some hacks but good!

I've test MyBB for several days. In my opinion MyBB is the best free forum software but unfortunately it lack of free mods and theme so I decide to back to SMF

Though I have an IPB license and am using it on http://www.crystalcoconut.com, my pick goes to MyBB.

    http://www.rockbandhelp.com/forum/Thread-q-a-why-mybb

I'll use it over IPB, vBulletin (especially), phpBB, and SMF. I explained why specifically here. However, I'm very interested in XenForo. Kier (and I guess Mike) brought order to vBulletin when they were there. I don't really see it there anymore. They wanted a complete rewrite for vBulletin 4 but IB vetoed them. Now, vBulletin 4 code has more vB3 code than new code, and they're already thinking about vBulletin 5 to rip your money off.

I am going to be looking to get rid of my vB4 suite and vBSEO package within the next thirty days. I am converting over to Xenforo. It's got a lot going fo it.

Kier Darby and Mike Sullivan, developers of vBulletin in the 3.x series, is the developers of XenForo.

So far, it looks really good. Built-in SEO, Semantic HTML, Achievements, and its speed is what is going to kill vBulletin. If you have no idea what it is, please, I urge you to check it out.

    I'm a guy.

Meant to say SEO where the empty comma is =/. But really, XenForo is really going to raise the bar of forum software at a very good price for commercial software as well.
