How do I get more sales?

I have been selling maybe one of my products per week and I'd like it to increase, obviously.

What do I do that I'm not doing now? What I'm doing now is link exchanging, trying to build up my back links, blogging, networking, forums, submitting to site directories, article writing and submissions to ezines.

I haven't done PPC advertising, but many similar sites (I have a very nichey set of products - retro pedal cars, trucks, diecast models, etc.) are doing PPC advertising and I don't know that they are having better results than I am.

I just want to get over the one-a-week hump.

Thanks for any suggestions on marketing strategies.

    Liz

Liz It Sounds like you need to adopt an Email Campaign.

This will mean that you can get to your customers and whoever is interested straight off instead of having to pay for more advertising and stuff.

If you want to check out my Email & Mobile Marketing forum - goto http://pingadoo.com/forum/

or You can email me if you want some more info

    Thanks

You could give adwords a try for some very targeted visitors.

    good luck

Im on a simliar boat. My e-com site has been running for about month + now but only getting few sales here and there. I'm sure there're ways i can improve the entire site but with the lack of profit it's hard to throw in big bucks for advertising.

Continue guys with what you are doing now, then invest in adwords , yes. If your site is 1 month old, there is no reason to complain about low sales, moreover consider yourself lucky. Traffic will increases over time.

Also compare traffic to sales ratio. If you make 1 sale from 1000 uniques problem is your site, not visitors or traffic.

I suggest you must try PPC advertising option. With the kind of products you are offering it might work for you big time. You can start with a small investment and based on the ROI you recieve you can scale it up.

Let me know if you feel interested in trying out google adwords, i am already managing adwords for 2 DP members currently.

How long has your site been online? Is it a new online store?
Doest your site have PR ?
You should work on building your PR.
Since you are selling niche products.. you might as well try and advertise in some magazine related to your niche. That should work for your store and increase sales.

So you are suggesting to build BLs? I of course know how to build BLs but how to build PR - you can never tell what PR Google will assign your site.

So you agree that stating to build PR makes no sense at all? I always tell people - shoot for building good quality BLs and forget the PR because you cannot shoot for lets say PR7. PR will happen if you have good number of good quality BLs.

Another thing - the posts you sent to me - one started in 2004, another in early 2005 - and here we are 9 months into 2006. We all know that SE technology is not same old anymore.

Anyway - I didn't want to be satiric in my questioning to you and again I don't mean to argue with your point or bash you suggestion - but just asking a person to shoot for high PR does not make sense from my point of view.

I agree. I'm glad with the result from my e-store. Since i havent put any money into advertising it. Yet i got more than 10 orders so far from varies referrer. But of course ill keep trying to make it better so i'll get better sales. :)

    Hello, Liz

You might consider opening an Affiliate Program and get other webmasters promote your product.
