This is a quick $6 contest for a header for a site being worked on at http://LikeWheel.com. The site syndicates people's like ideas with their Facebook profiles. The rest of the page, advertising and coding is still being tidied, so the site is not yet being promoted. The code is functional. The header space is currently 880 x 60 (although the depth can be increased if the best design requires it). My idea - simple Web 2.0, suggestive of Facebook but without using the name, main text the url LikeWheel.com - and the header containing a wheel symbol, perhaps with 'like' as the spokes. Other ideas are welcome. I'll keep the contest running up to 24 hours, but if I see a design I really like before then I reserve the right to stop the contest. Looking forward to seeing everyone's creativity at work! Thanks, Thom
Thanks guys, I like all of them - guess I'm easy to please. Samyak, your second one's my favourite of your two - I like the flame and the font and how well it blends in with the rest of the site. Kavalorn, love the cleanness of your design and the wheel, just wonder if there was a way to use the the blank space to the right as it seems a bit of a waste otherwise. Will leave this running a bit longer as I have some errand to run before I can do anything with the logo. Any further entries or revisions are welcome. Cheers, Thom
Ok, here is my development like I said earlier, but still need a final touch. Feedback really appreciated.
dnsm - not so keen on the first one, but the second one has a great Facebook feel to it. Badside - I really the Facebook feel for this one too and the way you've worked the font for 'Like'. I wonder if there's a way you could work the 'wheel' imagery into it? Thom
I was thinking that the space could be possibly filled with some sort of slogan, or the question 'What is something you really like?' Basicly I'm found of clear space but the choice is yours lad.
Don't worry, I have already figure out the 'wheel' image. I'm working on it and will post the final one in this thread.
Thanks for all the entries. I'm going to close off the contest now. I'm very impressed by the standard of entries, and there are four of them I'd be happy to use on the site. But, the one I'm going to go for is the one that best captures the Facebook feel and fits in with the rest of the site - dnsm's second entry. dnsm, please pm me with your PayPal address and I'll send the $6 across to you. I do also very much like the entries by Kavalorn, samyak (2nd) and badside. And the others showed promise too. I'll be online for about a few more minutes tonight, then I've got to go to bed, so will catch up with anything else in the morning. Thanks again for all the entries, Thom
