That's poor customer service. It's not a perfect world, and things do go wrong, but there's no excuse for no contact or explanation. Hope you get your data back. It's too late now, but make sure you backup your site and data regularly and at least you can recover with very little downtime.
Yes, making offsite backups using rsync technology is a very good way of backing up all your important data. I make backups with two different providers.
TTT for rsync. You have to include offsite backups with your hosting. If you don't and you are a client then you need to make sure you backup and download them to your pc or buy a data package at a data provider to use for off site backups.
I can not wait to review this company! If they are as trash as people are saying the more reviews as possible regarding there lack of service the better. Why would they not just do good business? why?
