Convert WAV Into MP3

How do I convert WAV file into MP3 format? What's the simplest way to do that with my computer.

I got this one last night actually, seems to work pretty good but it doesn't have a batch option

Check out AudioAlchemy MP3 Edition at www.convertmusic.com. It converts audio formats to MP3 in batch mode.

 

I suggest just grabbing iTunes www.itunes.com ... it works great for me and it's free.

 

Thanks! I prefer free software as I've got very few files to convert, in fact I rarely get wav files, most of the time I get mp3 files.

 

same here. I happened to just be on my LT last night needing to convert a few files. Ordinarily I use SoundForge (on my desktop) for all my audio stuff.

 

I used foobar (www.foobar2000.org) along with LAME.EXE (www.rarewares.org/mp3.html)

 

I use Nero 7.0 it does everything I need.

The software that I use for these kind of jobs is Xilisoft Video Converter.
It's great

 

it can do sound files too

I've used it for video before and it does a nice job.

 

...now if you want to convert both audio and video formats, Blaze Media Pro would be an excellent solution.

 

Get Audacity, its open source and it can convert WAV to MP3.

I use Itunes. Simple/free and converts into WAV, MP3, AAC, AIFF.

 

I did not know that about itunes...it's a rather large program just if you need to convert a file though.

does it play video(s) as well?

 

No videos.. but it does cook my dinner.

You can export the files via the "advanced" tab.
