That is the bank where Google keeps their money. Your bank, any local bank, should be able to negotiate the check for you.

All my checks say the same about citibank, and I merely cash them at my local bank.

    Hope that helps!

You have to travel to Citibank's main office in order to cash in the cheque. If you try it at any other bank they will burn it.

If you live in the US, you can just deposit it in any bank merchant whether it be Bank of America, Wells Fargo, or WAMU right? It doesn't necessarily means ONLY Citibank but only Citibank will cash it?

you can deposit in any bank ,but you need to have account there (The acount holders name and the name on the cheque should be the same).I think now you got this . But they will take some money as collection charge.

Take the check to an EGYPT bank where you have an account, and they will do the rest for you. At most they will take out an exchange rate fee like 1-2 dollars. It is the same thing as using a credit card anywhere in the world.

As was noted by many members, you'll need to cash the cheque into your bank account, with any institution.

Most banks are able to handle foreign checks especially if they are from the US drawn on a US Bank. Just cash it in as a foreign check, the bank would know what to do.

However, you will not be able to get to use the money right away as it has to be sent back by your bank to the US for clearing. All in all, it can take a few weeks to a few months to clear. There may be some bank charges imposed by your local bank and the clearing bank and also be subjected to your local bank currency exchange.

    Congratulations.
