If you're a socialist, you suck!

Please provide me your arguments for socialism and I will provide my rebuttal at which point you will realize the error in your ways and convert to capitalism

 

What if my argument was written on a 2x4 and I beat you upside your head?

 

Then I would go wait in line for a month to get socialized healthcare.

 

What if I am against capitalism?

 

Then provide your argument and I will tell you why you're wrong.

 

Exactly everyone should wait a month. Why should one life be more valuable than the other. We have waiting periods for voting, car buying, even getting married, so why not a waiting period for a doctor's visit. Socialized medicine will only have to treat those who are truly sick!

Stop trying to profit off the sick people. Fair treatment for all, all wait in lines! It's only fair!

So you think it is morally sound to force healthy people to pay for sick peoples medical bills? Just because you don't want to pay for something doesn't mean the cost disappears; somebody has to pay for it and you want the economically irresponsible people to be compensated by economically responsible people because they "deserve the right to be healthy"

Why should a federal government decide the needs of individuals and force us all into slavery to pay for them?

 

There was actually a great article a few months back on the problems with socialism, focusing specifically on Sweden. I'll have to dig it up again. The problems arise in future generations; not necessarily the first, when more people get used to "getting stuff for 'free'".

 

Please define socialism.

In Capitalism you have several income classes. In socialism you have two. The very few very rich ... and then the vast majority which has enough to get by and not much more.

Yes, Sweden is well run, few poor people, few people in jail, few murders. If you are looking for reasons to like social democracy, look to Scandinavia. Norway is, according to UN, the worlds best place to live. They had mainly social democracy since WW2.

 

Curious, if Sweden is such a paradise, why the people are electing a government who said they'd pare down the social safety nets? I don't know a lot about Sweden, but it certainly seems there is more than what you are saying.

 

No offence, but if it was such a great place, why don't we see massloads of people trying to immigrate there?
