My paypal account locked with negative balance, but I sent them a check !!

I am frustrated with paypal, they don't listen to you. They reply your emails with just one same answer everytime in spite of what ever you ask them.

Please some 1 read my full case and suggest me on what to do-

I am from India and I had a verified paypal account with a Vcc added to it + my real bank account added.

I had a dispute and ended up having a negative balance of $382, as I sold a digital item(website design template).

I first ignored paypal's emails and did not respond to them, but since last one month I am trying to pay the negative balance but paypal does not co-operate.

I asked them to remove the limit from my account so that I can send money from other paypal account to mine to bring my balance to +ve, but they didn't.

I asked them that easiest way is that I can directly transfer money via my online bank transfer system to theres. But they said they don't accept it. Also they don't support Indian banks as I tried to use the "Add funds" option in my account earlier to lock, and I got a message that you can not add funds from this bank as this bank is not supported by paypal.

I asked them to give me a extension before locking my paypal account as I am in the process of sending them a cashier check. But they first didn't reply to my email and then suddenly locked my paypal account. Also arranging a cashier check in $ was really tough for me as in my city they are not easy to get. Also bank charged a high fees for the same. And I also told paypal all this + I also told them that if I send you the check, I'll send from Indian post and thus it'll take atleast 15 days. But no reply and they locked my account.

I have sent them a check of $10 to test if it gets delivered properly, and then I thought if it does then I'll send them the remaining amount. But as they have locked my account I can't even see that if they added the funds to my account or not.

Now the problem is inspite of trying to pay paypal, they are not co-operating and thus I am totally unable to pay them.

Give me suggestions so as to what to do, I am from India and can not contact them via phone.
Some people asked me to leave that account as it is, and don't pay as it is not a very big amount and paypal won't do anything. So is the suggestion right?

Also I don't want that paypal account anymore!!

Please reply asap, and people prior experience would greatly help me. I have seen many people on DP have gone through this, but one thing that I didn't find is that anyone has a real bank account attached? Because other people have left there account with negative balance and made a new one, but did they have bank accounts attached and if yes what action did paypal take?

 

They lock everyones account at some point. Just go through the steps required to open it again and they should let you back in.

If it's permanently locked you can get a new IP and try to make a different account.

Secondly the problem is the negative balance part.. They asked me that if I don't pay back my negative balance they'll handle the case to collection agency.
Also they specify no steps to unlock my account.

Well in that case should I leave the account, and if so will they really take legal action against me? Although some people said that until the negative balance is above $1000 they don't do anything and my balance is also less then the amount i.e. $382. But my bank account is attached with paypal, so can they take my address and sue me ?

So what to do?

 

They are not going to do anything like take you to court and sure you for such a small amount.

If you call them they might give you some steps to unlock your account. If not, I wouldn't worry, although I really don't have a clue how the credit system in India works.

Just look at some websites like paypalsucks.com and you will see it's a very common problem.

I had my account frozen one time just because I took a payment from someone from a small country.

I was always to get it unlocked by following their outrageous steps though.

Yes, that is true. Whenever I had issues to resolve I had to call them every day. Otherwise they are very slow to do anything about it.

 

But the problem is there is no number where i can contact them from India.

 

Send money from another paypal account!
check is hell for us since paypal to drive you away a lot of days!

You can call them using Skype.

 

Calling is your best solution, they really aren't going to listen to emails as they probably have so many emails a day coming into their system. I'm shocked that they didn't just take the money out of your bank account at your bank. This has happen to me before and they just grabbed the money from my bank account and it was all settled.

 

then u r not from india .
they cant touch our indian bank account .

 

Oops! Therefore call them and ask them to connect to Supervisor!
He/Shae can solve the issue!

Almost all of us have been in hot water with Paypal at some point. Keep calling in until you find a helpful agent. Eventually, they will resolve your issue. Good luck!
