I don't know if you want just TONS of followers, preferably some targeted interactive ones would be better.

That's the cool thing about this tool... you can contextually search for specific types of people to follow.
For me, I have TONS of quality followers.

you can use tweetils.com it is a free service. YOu can follow, unfollow or follow back your followers . To be frankly, i use it too

Reciprocal following is good for numbers, but you get low conversions because you're all trying to do the same thing - sell to each other.

 

I just got nothing but errors when trying to add this way from the tweetils site.

I like the thread title...Its a bit catchy..

But I would like to advice that the way to use is to make good tweets, be a genuine person, instead of only being a marketer and only occasionally tweet about a product.

At least that's what I have read so far, as I am not using Twitter as an Internet Marketing tool yet..

Any advice would be appreciated..

 

Another great way to get a lot of followers - write a very high quality blog post - submit it to QuickOnlineTips.com (no affiliation) - they have 26k subscribers, get lots of traffic - and give good pr as well. Make your topic of the article Twitter related - then at the end of the article ask people that if they liked your article to please follow you on twitter - or alternately if QOT doesn't allow this- you can put the request in your bio. I did this for a guest post on linked-in - same concept but only for linked in and got about 200 linked in connections in a few days.
