Godaddy suspended my domain. can i get it back?

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by Janjan2621, Jun 8, 2010.

Godaddy suspended my domain as soon i renewed another 1 year from them..

i emailed them and asked if i can transfer the domain to another registrar they answered in bold letters..

Because of this violation this domain name and/or website cannot be reactivated.

can anyone help me here to get it back??

    i f-ing hate them..

If it is just a TOS violation they normally charge a fee to get it back and transfer it out of godaddy.

This sounds more like trade name violation of some sort, but unless you're willing to disclose the domain name, there's nothing much anyone here can advise you on.

As the others have said, there must be some issue with the domain name itself which has caused this.

I am curious about what exactly you did and what domain you are meaning.
As we all know, domain registrar will not hold your domain with no reason.

they must have got some spam complaints on that domain. godaddy is natorious when it comes to spam complaints they suspend the domain and ask hefty sum to inestigate and reactiate the domain though they are the biggesp spamsters :D

A domain registrar shouldn't take care on the website content.
Mail them, that you want to transfer the domain.

I think in his case, maybe it is related to license issue if adult domain is no problem

    Lodge a complaint with ICANN - http://reports.internic.net/cgi/registrars/problem-report.cgi

A few years ago, I had a domain with a less-known registrar. He had also blocked my domain and was asking for extra money to transfer it to another registrar. One complaint later, I received an apology from him and immediate control of my domain.

    Try it.

    Cheers!
