Does anyone know the time period that google stops consider new banklinks into their new pagerank numbers. For Example. Say Google updates their pagerank on July 1, 2010. when does it stop taking new banklinks into consideration for the new pagerank? I understand that its internal ones are always being updating just wondering about the public one that they update every few months.
I say it is pretty much up to the same week, at least. Google isn't very behind the times when they do stuff.
what's known as toolbar PageRank - the figure you can see - can lag by several months behind the PR that is actually used in the algorithm, so you're trying to estimate the date of something that happened several months before you knew it had happened
I think whatever they have cached till the updates they consider it. I don't think there is specific timeline.
But backlink is an evolving process it just doesn't stop. I'm assuming at some point they would have a cut off period.
Basically, this process never stops according to the robots of google. The only update which google officially declares is after every three months. However the internal pages updating happens every day, I guess, maybe 24 hours. Yesterday one of my friend started her own website, and the contact page has been indexed by google within 12 hours.
Although nobody knows the specific amount of time, Google normally does a PageRank export before they release it to the toolbar so it's likely there would be a significant delay - I'm not sure on the length of the delay, but I can only guess at a few weeks to a month.
