Great step by Google! It will help Google to be leader on Search Industry. Personally, I did not find any changes on ranking. Also as this change mainly on there indexing algorithm and I think Google was updating Caffeine from around last six months (Finally its live on all there data center and they officially announced that). It will not make any huge change on ranking. Still we should wait for another one more month to see the change on ranking.
It is a great tool for keeping things local, and for the small business to be able to be on the front page of the search engines is an opportunity to get found when there would probably have not been a chance. I think it is beneficial for many industries that thrive on location marketing.
From everything I have read on Caffeine, it should have no effect on ranking. From: http://searchengineland.com/googles-new-indexing-infrastructure-caffeine-now-live-43891: But I am of the strong opinion that the inherent flexibility of Caffeine will allow Google to easily test new filters to combat spam. I do believe big changes to the ability to manipulate PR (PageRank) or SERPs with "self service" links are coming. Content, I predict, will become more important than ever.
i agree this is not an algo change. however, index is the fertile ground of algorithm. index faster means greater possibility of ranking faster - and then ranking higher. it WILL have great impact on algo.
Exactly my point too.. they are not saying its not an algo change, but with the things they have done and change it will affect the algo and ranking anyway, and it already have
ooh yes Actually PR will not effect due to this update but the site indexing is 50% faster then before. google New updates good for Seo as well as users who wants perfect search result ... like "Google Squad" .. Google's experiments to improve the speed and relevance of its searches with a new index code named ....
I think so, too. And not just because sites are indexed more quickly, but because the increased flexibility Google will have to combat spam. IMO.
I think It is faster in terms of live search results like twitter, blogs or news. I don't think it will crawl the normal static or dynamic site that often due to bandwidth issues.
Jup, many sites are writing about it now. So i am going to follow the SEO sites to see what really changed and what i have to improve.
Caffeine has defo had a serious effect on the backlink evaluation by Google now. It has became more picky about which links to weigh and which ones not to.
Not sure when this is fully integrated. Some of my sites update fairly quickly while others still take forever to update content.
