I am going to be launching several sites and want to know if I need a completely different hosting company for each site to get maximum benefit from the se's? I would like to be able to link between the sites, but don't want google or other se's to penalize me for it.
You'd want your websites to be on different C blocks, especially if you want to interlink them and benefit from it.
Is there a host that can provide that for us? Typically I look for a hosting plan that says "host unlimited domains"
www.servage.net, unlimite domains hosting, 110GB space, 1,100GB bandwith for $7.50 a month. Btw, this forum is Google related, not hosting related.
Hi, I am hosting 3 websites with the same host, I also have well linked these sites and am getting credit of these links, where is the problem if any. R.Anand
I agree. I'm using Godaddy for hosting multiple websites in a cheap prices. BTW golftrainer you've posted on wrong category.
I don't recomend you servage for hosting since they have 20000 hits a day limit so you cannot use it for serious purposes. Godaddy doesn't allow ssh access, other things are ok. Dreamhost is my personal advice - allows ssh and has 1 hour CPU limit a day. no limit in hits a day.
Servage has a limit of 20000 hits a day?, who said that? However abuse is not allowed: Servage removed most limitations in the past few months, including the number of domains hosted from 25 to unlimited. On the other hand Dreamshost is one of those companies still asking for "setup fees" as cheap as $49.95 (probably to pay affiliate bonuses), limiting number of mailboxes, and even the number oif SSH accounts, a useless feature when it comes to novice or intermediate users. As server admin, I often got one thousand questions regarding SSH ending up with people finding that the simple MS-Dos like interface is something that didn't help them for an easy website maintenance, not even using WINscp, but for messing up things due to lack of knowledge. For experts, an obvious advantage which at Dreamhost prices and "setup fee" allow going for a VPS.
No setup fee if you prepay for one year, at least I was the fact when I applied. I don't need 1000 mailboxes... The most iritating things about dreamhosts: 1. slow control panel (although among the best in the industry) 2. quite slow database I cannot find those data about servage, but when I checked servage had that hits/day limit.
This makes a difference since with not setup fee, the price is competitive indeed. Data about Servage transfer is located in the Knowledge base after login to control panel as user.
