The above advice is on target. First you need to "prove the concept" of your website before you go very far. The best way is through paid traffic, it could be from PPC or a targeted mailing etc, any method of bringing in your initial traffic. If you don't have a site that converts or a niche that is profitable there is no reason to spend more time on the site. Doing anything with out testing your concept and conversion is no a good way to start
Sorry. I've never had much patience for stupidity, and, talking parrots, lemmings. I'm working on it, though. It's hard. ... Like trying to quit smoking.
And like smoking, you'll be healthier and happier when you are free. Not to hijack this thread, but if you are going to hang around forums you are going to be exposed to a wide variety of abilities, motivations and levels of awareness. Being rude to people doesn't help them learn, it makes them dig in their heels. If you are here to help people see any sort of light, it might be most effective to learn to do it more gently. You will like yourself better, too. If you are here to feel superior to others, then, like any drug, it will give you a short term high but a long term depression.
do SEO of your site, as SEO will gie you long term profit, where PPC will give you benifit as long as you run it
Joomla needs the mod_rewrite module installed and access to the htacess file to create SE friendly URLs. Here's an article that will help, it covers how to set up Joomla for SEO. Once you get it working you should create a new sitemap to be sure those old URLs don't get crawled and the new ones get picked up. You can do a lot of SEO and UX optimisation without spending anything but your time which means you can also still budget for a PPC campaign. Once you start driving PPC traffic then it's important to make your landing page optimised to convert, the key features and benefits should be plain to see as soon as the page loads (I.e. above the fold and before the rest of your copy). For every feature you mention in your copy you should also provide a clear benefit that the feature will provide for your customer. I'm sure you'll find loads of free resources about creating copy that sells if you look around.
What I tend to do with my websites and because PPC is quick I will initially invest some money into PPC. What you will be able to test is whether the products you are selling actually convert well with targeted traffic. You know that if you get a bunch of PPC traffic but no one buys the product then something is wrong. That something could be the price, the product itself, or even your website. After I find something that converts, I then move over to more SEO stuff where I can lower my expense in PPC.
We have customers with feedback's sound like this: "Thank to you I'm now saving over 150$ /mo from PPC because of your SEO Optimization" Maybe 150.00USD is not lot for most of you but x12 that is like 1800.00USD annually ! So don't talk craps Perry Rose . The best is to use PPC until your website is fully optimized and get respected by Google . Average 3-5months then all are at autopilot if you keep working on your website etc.
Uhhh, no, you don't. You're just making shit up to sell your crap. Still waiting for those links that show you are on page one, and the other sites you, supposedly, put on page one. *rolls eyes* If one is lucky enough to land high, it can take a matter of days. killer2021, if you want to save money, I can post the list of things to do that you can do yourself. It's the same as what the expensive services do. And then some. But, yes, you should optimize your site, but, focus on advertising. You really can't get far without advertising anyway.
I don' think that you have to choose between one or the other. There is no reason that you can't do both.
How comfortable are you with PPC? I think that's important to your decision making. You can easily make mistakes with PPC and end up getting no results.
I have done everything myself and didn't cost any pennies, but it indeed need my time and works a bit, the more content = more visitors. Based on my experience, choosing right keywords, and building backlinks will help your site appears in first page of Google.
according to your question i suggest you to spend money on seo .We Use to sspend £50 a day on google adwords .Belive me traffic is on site till money is there .With seo you are reserving feature traffic . Or if you need cheap seo services contact us as we are offering now .
I would spend on both advertising (e.g. SEM) and SEO. SEM is for immediate results (targeted traffic) whereas SEO is investment for the long term. As your SEO campaigns begin to produce results, you can become less and less reliant on SEM.
