I am looking to pay a few people to post on my forum. How much should I pay? I am thinking about paying per post.

I typically see $0.10 per post. I think this is normally the standard rate unless things have changed. It has been a while! :)

why don't you go to freebie forum to research on these type of offers? My advice though, is that if you want people to post somewhat more quality posts on your forum, set up some rules or find the right people who are familiar with your niche, of course that could be more pricey. But if you just want your forum to look1 fo more active and has more thread/post count, just offer like $1 for 10 posts and i bet you could get at least moderate responses.

I find it more effective for you to offer amounts for a set number of posts. It sounds like a larger amount of money to the prospective poster, and also gives you a larger amount of content to your forum.

I think $0.10 per post is good because webmaster don't write long posts, they write 2 or 3 links and end soon so 10 cent is enough.

The average of what I've seen is $0.10 per post. But it would be more attractive to potential posters to advertise it $1 for 10 posts, I think.

its really depends on the niche of your forum. if its general/entertainment/movies niche then normally you can get forum posters at cheap rate in forum services section.

    It depend on your budget.
You can hire freelance poster with $0.10 per post in average
If you want to make your forum as paid to post, i will suggest to make it in between 2~4 cents per post, dont set too high or you will facing a fund problem

Is there some sort of schedule for the posts so they appear more organic - like over a time period?

Hey there. Straying a little bit from the rest of the posters, first I will say that outsourcing this, in theory saves you a lot of time and frees you up to do other tasks. However, hiring someone to post to forums for you is a step you need to take with a lot of caution. As with outsourcing people to write articles and ebooks for you, the due dilligence it takes to find someone to do this for you should be even more stringent.

I say that because posting on forums "puts you out there" and can either make or break your reputation. All they have to do is say the wrong ting, and your credibility is shot. If you wish to go this route, i would look in places like the Warrior Forum, elance.com and others, and pick out people that have a lot of experience and maybe get some references from them, When you're satisfied, go for it, as this could potentially give you great returns if you make forum posting a major part of your marketing campaign.

    Good Luck! :)
