Webmaster Tools vs. Links:http://www.mysite.com

Hello All,

When I go to google and type in links:http://www.outplaypoker.com, it returns links that point to my site. However when I go to google webmaster tools it states:

Any clue which one is more ccurate and how to get my links onto google webmaster tools.

It's actually "link" not "links"

 

In my own experiences, Google webmaster tools always lags behind in update. Personally, seoquake add-on for Firefox would be OK for this purpose.

1. The correct search operator should be "link:" and not "links:"
2. This is pretty common for the more delat in update according to Google Webmaster Tools. However, if it has started to recognize your link in GWT, it would work faster than link: search operator by show more frequent update in your link popularity.

 

GWT is always more accurate in displaying your backlinks and the only reason why it would not show up... I guess, if the backlinks are fairly new and have been very recently added!
