I just recently launched a mini-site called How To Sk8board. I have two posts published and have a Ezine Article up and running but I still do not see traffic. Any tips?
have u tried using social networking or social media sites to boost the traffic? btw, i feel that your site may be too new to generate traffic u might need to continue to post some unique content for the search engine to find u as well
The benefit of mini sites is they are laser targeted, so you require less promotion to dominate the serps for the keywords you are targeting.
You will need to posts more than 40 articles in your blog and try building backlink as well if you need traffic.
I always love to use facebook fan page for getting regular visitors. Just create a fan page and promote it a little bit and you can get your site exposed and go viral
Try to break a deal with a forum. Basically they could auto post all your articles and allow you to create an "intergradation" amoung the members of the forum, guests of the forum and much more. Join an active forum, make friends with everyone on the forum, and then just advertise your site; thus creating a loyal fan base that you personally know. Thats the best way to do it. I am not sure how a mini site is different to a normal site, but i would say you need much more then an article and a few comments. You will need to use lots of articles, RSS feeds from a blog, create blog networks, use social bookmarks, there are many ways to promote a site, you will need to use a lot to get traffic.
You've got a pretty nice site, but considering that most of your tips are how-to and specialized for skate boarding. it might be nice to have them as videos instead of still photos. I take it people who are interested will want to be able to copy the techniques themselves. I recommend you go over to a site called YouSayToo.com. It's one of those pay-to-blog sites where you can earn Adsense revenue on ad impressions as well as with Amazon Associtate. What's cool about this site is that you can add your blog's feed to it, and it automatically adds new posts to that site. Each page of that site has ads that are earning from ad impressions, i.e. they're earning money every single time those ads appear. It might be 3/1000th of a cent at first, but it's still earning. By doing this, you're actually blogging in two places: your own site and directly onto YouSayToo. YouSayToo has a PR 4 ranking, so it already has a bunch of backlinks on it that can pass some of the link juice to your site. Plus, you grab the attention of the people in the YouSayToo community. The only think is that your RSS feed has to be a full RSS feed, i.e. atom/rss. For some reason mine didn't work, so I have to book mark my posts separately, but since you have a blogger blog, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Then you send the traffic to you You Say Too Links. Whether people read your posts from You Say Too or click on through to your actual blog, you're still earning some Adsense money. Just watch their videos on how to get set up properly.
today social media site is more effective for this case specially face book is boss.you can promoted your site by fan page or friends directly.ready to help you.
create a fan page on face book and developed this.regular update your page, your traffic will be increase.
Traffics will not come so easy and fast that you think. two article is not enough and you can't get hug traffics from ezine only, publish to hundred article directories.
participating in forums related to skateboarding and even facebook fan pages. You can also start building links to get some search engine traffic. Find a highly searched keyword that isn't too competitive and optimize your blog using that term.
