I have a sale thread that ended and I want to relist it using the bump option. I understand this is not possible for the moment. Shall I create another thread or mods can edit/reopen the sale for me? Thank you.
Duplicate threads are not allowed. Thank heavens mods can not change status of threads. The forum is too big for mods to be a nursemaid for each member.
Alright, I understand. I won't create a duplicate and mods can't reopen the sale. I know Shawn said this function will be implemented in the future... I guess waiting is the only solution for the moment? Thank you.
I reported a thread to be closed about a year ago .. can I report that thread to be re opened and can I bump it ?? If I do it than it will be on top or at the top of ended listings?
I can reopen thread for you. Just make a bad post report on it. I have not been in a position to know if you then have the bump option. One sure way to find out is to have me reopen thread.
I just did .. Now I am thinking you are allowed to open it or not as it contains services which are now banned on DP .. but since I cannot make a duplicate thread .. I can edit the whole First Post as per the new rules. But First lets see if it goes on top http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1351644#post11478874
Well yes .. my thread is on top now .. Now I want to edit the whole First Post ... PM a Mod with First Post or any other way?
Write the thread with all the formatting in BBcode and send a Notepad file to any mod or upload it as attachment here I say.
I pmed Don so waiting his response... Now .. Normally when a thread have a new post you can check it on your settings (user cp) page and when you click it, means that you have read the post so it disappears from there. The thread I bumped is suck in my user cp .. always saying 1 new post .. I wonder why?
Same problem with me, it says one new post at 1 AM while I made no post and its just stuck in my UserCP, is it going to be there forever?
Just another Bumping brainstorming. If it's OK to bump thread after 30 days using "bump function" then what is wrong with bumping that thread with post after 30 days? fastreplies
That would mean the bump police would be constantly having to do the math. The bump feature does it automatically,
LOL, "bump police", I like that What if we give them Abacus, or make it portable calculators, will that help? But seriously. Mods are looking for thread bumping anyway "constantly doing the math" and that is why I'm asking why not just make post and keep bumping option available for different post. fastreplies
If you are a premimum member you can use the bump option after a week, if nonpremimum member you can use the bump option after a month.
Yes, I know that but I was wondering if ended sales (closed) can be re-opened so bump can take place.
The issue with bumped threads showing up as unread threads in user control panels indefinitely should be fixed now.
