Inner page vs homepage

Has anyone seen there homepages suffer in the latest mayday update, my homepage used to rank well for 4-5 different keywords so I kept building links for these words for the homepage, then after the update the homepage dropped and the inner pages ranked instead but not nearly as high as before. I have now started building links for the internal pages instead. I just wondered if anyone else saw this with there sites?

 

I have noticed no negative change with my page rankings recently.

You could of just lost relevancy for the search...

 

hey wait for a few days and check if the drop in ranking settles down. It might be a google dance. How new is your site?

 

It happens my dear. Keep on building back links for home page and inner pages in the ratio of 50:50
