i dont think it will end ...

The way google could solve this is :

We all become premium publisher :D

and the word ads by gooooooooogle get removed ...

full blending of ads in the sites ...

    Why they wouldn't click?

On tv, everybody knows when there is an ad, and ads are still on tv!

Don't forget that millions of people are not internet marketers and don't understand the concept of Adsense...they just see them as ads/alternate resources.

If you place adsense ads on sites that have an 'adsense user' visitor base, it's more likely that your ads won't be clicked on.

But for a site like my weight loss blog for example, the people are typically 'regular job' people and aren't as adsense savvy. I have a high clickthrough rate on that blog.

    Adsense isn't going anywhere.

Come on! If you have fine content and you operate in a niche that has enough advertisers in it... google always chooses the ads that somehow complement your content (at least part of them) and people will keep on clicking them...

Haha then google will change the look of the ads and remove the Ads by google, or even give us a PHP integration tool so the user can't block the ads lol .

Do NOT underestimate the Power of Google Adsense Technology... As mentioned, its certainly true that millions and millions of people DO NOT even know about $$ Google Adsense Cash Generating Machine $$$ .. .. . .. .. Even for me, I sometimes find it hard to click on other sites ads (bad thought of profiting someone else.. This is natural feeling for human beings...) but simply got no choice.... Copy paste or typing in the same URL takes a bit more effort.. Still click it because it is really what I am looking for..Can you feel the effect of Contextual Advertising.... From Egyptian ads on stones and now ads by Google on the Internet, the advertising industry is indeed everlasting and the ultimate power of commerce in the world... Trust me, this system will continue earn you money for the next generation to come.. So keep up building the great empire you have built and maintain it well... It is indeed true that the amount of $$ you get from Adsense really satisfies one more then his real day job even though it is small...That is a good sign indeed.... Enjoy!

this is very true, not all people know about adsense or care about it. if they see what they want, they will click on it, even if it is an ad or an article.

Google makes money from Adwords by selling Pay Per Click Advertisements and I am sure that is adding a lot to their bottomline. If no one clicks the adsense then they do not need to pay anyone and pocket every cent :)

As long as people believe in them to advertise in Adwords, Google would not end. Look at the 2nd quarter financial results http://investor.google.com/releases/2006Q2.html . They are making more than what I could ever make.

The people who know about adsense are people who are keen on making money from the internet. This means its a tiny fraction of web surfers..
