Use google.com/webmasters and you got the real visit's details and use google.com/analytics for real pageviews

I think that the google keyword tool sometimes gives bougus info, that's really different from the real search volume.
...just like the data from google webmaster tools which can't be trusted at all

I don't think you've answered whether it's broad, phrase or exact match you're looking at here.

Edit: I checked. Change it to exact match and you'll see the actual values. These are pretty much inline with the clicks you're getting.

Are you talking about exact match or broad match here?

BTW Google adwords has been off for a long time.

there is obviously something wrong here... either the number of searches data is wrong or you are not really ranked #1.

it was always best to use rank checker to know where you are standing.........

Number one does not guarantee more clicks. work out why users are not clicking your ads. it may have to do with the color, layout of your site.

Use this tool https://adwords.google.com/select/AdTargetingPreviewTool to know your country specific ranking.
Different data centers shows different results, and even if you go to Google.com and your IP address is from your country (of course it will be, unless you use proxy or VPN), still it will show different serps. So use that tool, else use US proxy or any other country's proxy that you want to target.

Wow, you really do miss the point. Google do this to serve up the best and most accurate result for each viewer, based on a set of formulas and settings. Tere is no point for Google to show a global, static, all-covering result. They say it themselves, search results are like an everchanging living organism. Use Google Webmasters to find out numbers, but there is no need to display the same number one for an American and a Pakistani user. Google's mission is to bring each individual user the best result for just their query. Adapt to it, because Google isn't going to change.

And to add to this - webmasters should immediately rid themselves of any thought that Google exists for them - it doesn't. It exists for the searchers, they are it's raison d'etre. Everything it does it to serve up results to them that will make them come back next time they have a query.

This is a good idea. You can actually see your CTR of organic searches. If there are 1000s of impressions but minimal clicks then I suggest looking at your title and meta description to improve CTR

I don't quite understand why some people will not say what niche they are targeting nor give a url...especially if it has little traffic.
It's pretty easy to see what terms people are targeting by looking at their site.
What are they going to steal? Your search term?

Sounds bad, but the truth is that keyword search tools are often inaccurate on their daily search totals.

Check multiple datacenters. Maybe you are ranking high only on your country.

Use any other tool then Google ad word , Although all of us consider google adword tool the best among all but still some times its shows results which are not correct. No 1 spot is some achievement and don't be disappoint, check visitors from Alexa although Alexa not show numbers of visitors but you will got good idea from it.
