Have you ever gained blog comment black links... and then your rankings skyrocketed? Have you ever lost a blog comment due to a moderator deleting your comment down the line.... and lost rankings? Share your stories!
Firstly SEO is not rocket science. Only single strategy cannot get you higher ranking. There are many other factors whcih are considered by search engines. For your second question, i have never experienced this case. I have read about this beore.
I agree with the post above, blog commenting only helps your page rank and it does not help gain traffic nor does it help with ranking.
if we have used proper anchor text then we can get benefit in ranking and it also helps in to get back links.
Yeah it happened to me too..... And then we lost the juicy anchor link... and dropped to the 2nd page... im convinced it was because of losing that PR5 link on a blog Now its time to get it crackin!!
But it could help getting traffic if the comment you posted is related to the site or entry you commented on.
I dont think a moderator will delete all the old blog comments. However, the Google webmaster report seems to show recent links rather than older links. I think it's more likely that Google gives more weight to recent blog comment links.
This was on the Joomla forum.... the moderator goes through and deletes posts months later ..... but ususally the same day.... and then blocks your account You know, to block drive by link commenters
Yes it's partially correct.Getting a link from a reputed site through commenting also helps in improving the SERP.But removing the link might not be so quickly affects ranking.
I don;t think blog comments will raise your SERP, it depends on the "follow" tags on the commented blogs
It helps in PR but also in SERP. Blog commenting are now very important factor in Ranking. But this is not only the blog commenting, other factors like link exchange, article submission and guest posting are also very important.
I dont rely on blog commenting as the main backlink method. I only notice the difference when there is a top commentator widget in a dofollow blog.
Internet is such a garbage these days. All of us have contributed to it. Google will have to do something with it. We will certainly see the emerging importance of factors like: ctr of organic reults, bounce rate and time spent in a website. Commenting blogs only to get a pr is so spammy. But I use it from time to time. Let's admit SEO is based on spam.
This is one of the worst comments I saw when it comes to the internet. How can you tell that the internet is garbage when you gain gain lots from it? Including knowledge and of course, money.
Blog commenting is one fantastic way to build your website’s inbound links, thereby increasing traffic and rankings. It does have to be done in abundance to get a good effect, but every little bit helps! Like most things in online marketing it’s a volume game, so the more effort you put into it the more you can get out of it.
On the other hand, I get some traffic with my blog comments. If your comment is good then people will want to see more of you...or your blog for that matter.
